These mesh nets are the perfect size and stretchiness for the small 500 meter Simthread 40 weight embroidery spools. They keep the thread neat while storing the spools and using the spools. They may be too short to use for larger spools.

I love it that it holds the thread in place because embroidery thread tends to loosen more than regular thread. The idea is great. I did not pick it for the brand, but for the value and to try it out so see how it works. Like I said it's a great idea. The only thing I don't like is that after a few times of putting on and removing, it tends to loosen up and it sort of pops halfway up.

It was the right length for my larger spools of thread and I could cut them in half for my Skinner and shorter spools. Holds the threads in place. They work perfectly!

OMG, I wish I had known about these years ago - they're a sanity-saver for me! No matter how organized I get my threads and bobbins, it means nothing when they keep unraveling and otherwise refusing to stay neat and tidy.THESE ARE INCREDIBLY USEFUL! I'm also using them for bits of elastic that I used to wind and clip because the netting is so much more useful and easier to deal with, too.

I purchased these to cover my spools of 1000M Brothread machine embroidery thread. These spools don't have an easy way of holding the loose end of the thread in place, so they can come unraveled easily. Brothread provided some samples of a larger size of these. The larger size worked just as well and stuck out a little above the spools. This size fit the height of the spools exactly. It's clearish mesh, but does slightly obscure the color of your thread. However, the more it is stretched, the more your thread color will be exposed. As you can see from the photos though, even on a skinny roll of Gutermann 220yd thread, you can see the color of thread well enough. You can cut them into shorter sections to hold bobbin thread.

The description says large cone thread. But is only about 2 inches long.It took a really long time to get delivery.I ended up using the net from a package of fresh garlic.Iām very disappointed with this purchase.
