As title says, first one arrived DOA. Product seemed ok, not obvious damage. Chalked up to these things happen. Replacement ordered and worked as expected. Using this in an Unraid install. First part was tested in multiple machines to confirm failure. It would warm up but no activity light at all.

I've used the 3008 in a few different servers over the years, primarily with FreeNAS/TrueNAS. Works great. Best if using the IT firmware; the IR (RAID) firmware is fine just leave it more or less unconfigured, but the more-ideal is using IT (Target!) firmware as it's been the most supported.I believe this came loaded with the IR firmware preloaded. I didn't bother flashing it over in case I wanted to return it or had issues. No issues. Works great. Not sure if it would work in a non-supermicro system; but as this went into a supermicro box; no concerns.

The product is not RAID capable, it did not come with a low profile bracket and it seemed to be used.-- BUYER BEWARE.

The AOC-S3008L-L8E is an HBA, not RAID. Also listed as new, but is quite obviously used. Even the receipt said so. ConfigureSystem is not covering return postage. What crap.
