Made it here a week or 2 early. Box was well taped as it took a little bit of a beating on the way here. Was in excellent condition and sounds absolutely amazing on my tube amp. It has a good bit of weight and is a solid build with nice cord reinforcement near the body. The cord is super long so you can get a good distance from the amp. Grill is solid and body is thick. Color is amazing as well. This is a solid mic and the sound is good with easy finger control on the volume knob. We'll worth the price and actually got here pretty fast compared to some of my in country purchases Get one while you can because I'm sure this will sell out fast.

Only giving 4 stars because package seal was broken. Otherbthan that mic looks like new zero scratches whatsoever. I'm not pro by any means. But this mic will definitely give me more motivational learning at my budget.

I'm very new, but being able to play through an amp gives such a great sound it encourages me to keep practicing and to be creative. This thing sounds amazing through my kid's cheap practice guitar amp, probably even better in a proper setup.Only possible drawback is size. I've got pretty big hands to begin with, and it still feels a little big to handle. I imagine it will get easier with practice, but I would not want smaller hands for sure.

Sensibly priced harmonica mike, it’s well made, if a little bigger than I would have liked but a nice clean sound with my little busking amp, most walk past traffic don’t necessarily want to be assaulted by that dirty Chicago blues sound, well not whilst out shopping, but if they did I’d use something like a Boss or a Pig Nose amp. Anyway it works a treat on all my amps so as I say, worth the money any day of the week in my opinion.

The first mic I bought had issues, but there was no trouble with getting an instant replacement. I've used various harmonica mics and play professionally in a blues band, (mainly bass guitar) but recently recorded some music for my album Pastor Mike and the Demon Slayer Blues Band and used this mic in the recording studio. I am very pleased with it, about half the price of a Green Bullet but half the price, it is virtually impossible to distinguish the difference between the two. I use a line 6, and pig nose for this when I play it live. (My keyboard player picks up the bass for those songs) I love it, easy to hold and maneuver and if you like that classic blues harp sound, get a decent small amp and this mic, it will save you money and perform at a high quality

The Superlux D112 microphone has upped my game considerably. As the bargin alternative to a Green Bullet, it gives richness and texture to my sound at half the price. The attached 20 ft. cable and volume control round out a very convenient package. I like that the volume knob has a distinct detent at the halfway level, too. The sturdy build feels comfortable while playing, although someone with smaller size hands might want to actually hold one first. At about 1 1/2 pounds, it's a significant device. I've found that by increasing the microphone volume and decreasing the amp volume, I play in the upper octave with super light breath control. It's so sensitive, that as I sustain a high blow note, my heartbeat actually gives me a vibrato. Highly recommended product!

I bought this microphone to use for playing a harmonica through a guitar amplifier. It is what is known as a "bullet" microphone because of its shape. I'm not sure, but I think it is virtually the same (except for color) as a "Red Howler" sold at Guitar center, and it is a "knock-off" of a Shure 520DX "Green Bullet" microphone. It sells for much cheaper than the other microphones I mentioned (check current prices online), and it is just as good as the Red Howler. I have not used a Green Bullet, but you tube sound samples sound very similar. I usually play a Hohner Special 20 Harmonica and I play amplified through a Fender Blues Junior tube amp with an Eminence Cannabis Rex speaker upgrade, a solid state Fender Frontman 25R amp with an Eminence Ramrod speaker upgrade, and a very cheap old Gorilla CG20R practice amp with a little 6" speaker. I started learning Harmonica about six months ago, and am far from being an expert player. My amp collection is because I play guitar. To me, the Superlux sounds great through all of these amps. I usually set the bass tone knob very high if not all the way up, and turn the midrange down and the treble almost off (the Gorilla only has one tone knob which I turn to full bass). I get that slightly ragged Chicago Blues sound that I think actually results from the relatively low-fi element in this microphone. I find that I can comfortably "cup" this microphone, and I use the first two (from the front or face) of the three finger grooves in the top of the housing to give a little extra depth to the chamber my hands form around it. Contrary to some comments I have read, one can get a reasonable "hand-whah" effect with this type of bullet mic. For me, the volume knob is a must-have feature so I can turn it down to avoid feedback if I need to adjust my amp or just set the mic down temporarily, and I particularly like the fact that the volume knob has a "centered" detent that I can feel when I adjust it so I can tell where its at before I actually play. The integrated microphone cable is plenty long and has a 1/4 inch plug that goes right into my amps without an adapter. If you need to plug it into a soundboard, you will need an adapter for that. The only reason I don't give five stars is because it is rather heavy. I recently returned a Shaker Mad Cat microphone because I found it had a brighter, cleaner sound than the Superlux, and I just liked the Superlux sound better. I am currently waiting to receive a Shaker Retro Rocket mic that is a smaller and lighter bullet mic. I'll review that one when I have had a chance to compare it.I love the Superlux look and sound.

I was surprised by the build qualit. In the picture, the mic looks like plastic and general cheap but it is rather nice and feels solid in hand. There is nothing to complain about in the sound, a good amp or PA is going to produce any sound effect needed if you are looking for something other than what you as a player can produce with just the instrument alone. If you can produce a gritty grinding sound w/o any effects it will resonate well with this mic. Don't expect it to play for you.A little note after using it a while. The faceplate has a finish that will rub off with play if you wobble/slide your harp on the gril. This is not a bad thing for me, in fact I like that it is starting to build character, but it's worth mentioning. The cord is long and durable and it doesn't seem like it would rip out for any reason other then treating it like a damn fool.
