Anyone who makes soup needs one of these. I usually make a gallon or so of soup at a time, and this makes it so easy to fill my containers. This one easily earned a 5 star rating.

I have to write a review on this one. This a great product. The weird shape is exactly what you want. Allows you to get into a pot of water or stock and get most of it out without dumping it. It is also HUGE so you can grab as little or as much as you need. It pours from all sides. Also, unexpectedly included were canning tongs for lifting jars out of the canner. Not sure if that is always included though because it wasn't in the description.Take it from me, if you are out here looking for something like this just order it. I waited way too long and spilled way too much before I finally ordered it. Look at any decent small ladle at the store and compare prices for what you actually get. This seems expensive but really isn't. 5 solid stars here.

Takes a little getting used to for pouring into a canning funnel. Once you get the hang of it you'll wonder how you canned large quantities without it. Perfect for dishing out soup for dinner as well.

It arrived quickly and in good condition.All items were needed but my favorite item was the big spoon. It is so handy scooping up liquid Gee and tomato sauces and pouring it into jars for canning. I love this colour green. Price was good as well.

Normal ladels are too small and useless. This is a great size, and even comes with a stand to store it on while stuff needs stirring and cooking. Service was prompt and price good.

After wanting to start canning for a long time, and being very intimidated by the process, I did a ton of research and pulled the trigger.I set out to get myself lined up with the best information and tools of the trade. This was an item that kept coming up in my research.I love items that do double duty. You need a ladle for canning regardless. This nifty scoop kills 2 birds with one stone. The measurements on the inside of the scoop assure accurate jar capacity. The amount of “head space” in the jar is very important and this makes determining that easy.Cons:My only con for this guy is the price point, and the reason I gave 4 stars, not 5. If I couldChange one thing, it would be that there was a second ladle of the same concept that is smaller and more narrow for non wide mouth jars, like what you would use for jams, pepper jellies, etc.Overall I think this is a really great tool for one’s canning arsenal. I don’t think you will be sorry you got this, despite what I feel is a too steep price tag. Like I said, if there was a second, scaled down version and it was sold as a set at this price, that would be amazing.I did not check to see if it is BPA free, which is something I should have looked into prior to purchase. That’s on me.
