Installed this spoke protector on my huffy summit mountain bike and the fit was not perfect, but it was close enough. No problems with it.

It’s too small for 28 tooth sprocket

To small,my fault, should have recognize the measurement, the freewheel is larger than the disc.I don't know why they would make a small one.I had to look at the amount of teeth, bought a larger one.

I wasn't sure what to expect here because I'm used to dealing with cassettes, not freewheels, and I'm typically removing ugly spoke protectors, not installing them. However, I just rebuilt a kid's 20" bike with a 6-speed freewheel drivetrain, and the derailleur and shifter were pretty janky. After getting the chain caught behind the big cog a couple of times in the workstand, I decided this is something I DO NOT want to deal with out on the trail due to ham-fisted shifting.I was pleased to find this specific protector because it is advertised "up to" 28T, which is what size freewheel I'm mating it with, so I was hoping it would just barely stick up behind the largest cog (I seriously dislike the aesthetic of the overly large spoke protectors that protrude an extra inch beyond circumference of the cog), but to my surprise, this one is short!Yes, that's right, mounted behind a 28T cog it is practically out of sight, just visible through the valley of the teeth. The protector also has a "lip" around its circumference, so rather than sitting flat against the spokes like most spoke protectors I'm accustom to, this one creates a little ledge for the chain to sit on should it be overshifted. So yes, the chain will still end up sandwiched between the largest cog and the spokes, but this protector ought to keep it "up high" near the teeth, preventing it from becoming stuck. There is a small gap left between this disk and the large cog, not wide enough for a chain to "fall into" under normal conditions, but I'd bet a dollar a determined pedaler could get the chain wedged in there without too much effort. But for the time being, that remains to be seen...

I have a 13-25 freewheel. it was just the right size. Any smaller no good. I had to trim some plastic with a knife to get it to fit against ther spokes properly. But a little trim to fit is OK for a generic item.

Gives a nice, no guard look, while still protecting your spokes.
