I have used Sufix Siege in Clear for over ten years. It is in my opinion one of the best mono's out there. The G2 winding eliminates a lot of memory issues and makes the line consistant without feeling lumpy, it flows through the guides nicely and you won't break this line. Anglers must be prepared that this line will stretch, if you have a problem with that buy something that will break. Why I gave this line four stars is because Rapala VMC corporation has currently no customer service line, if you have any questions or product concerns you have to send it by email and wait around for 2 days before anyone will get back to you, and then good luck with that!

Absolutely ridiculous.Correctly aligning the spool-to-reel results in flying-off-the-reel rats'-nests no matter what regardless of how much line is on your spinning reel. 200 yards? Line flies off unless you have a heavy lure providing pressure. 150 yards? 50 yards? Same result.I emailed the Rapala/Sufix customer service about which of their two "abrasion-resistant" lines (Siege and Advance) I should use for big catfish and they advised "Advance!", so I bought that and had the same issue, albeit worse with my spinning reel; so I ended up throwing that in the trash and buying this. This has the same effect - as it turns out the "gx4 winding" was spawned out of necessity and a failing band-aid for the design-flaw of this "nano" technology which makes the line irreconcilably stiff, and they failed.I used 17lb test and it's garbage unless you use a bait-casting reel - much like the "Advance".

Man this stuff is TOUGH. I've beat this stuff to pieces in heavy cover with soft plastics and it has held up beautifully. It also casts excellent and given how tough this stuff is, it is still pretty limber. Super pleased!

The first thing I noticed about this line is that it came on the fanciest spool I have ever seen. The line itself is a little bit stuffer than most mono line, almost like fluorocarbon, but not enough where knot strength is a problem (although maybe not as good as some other lines). Other than that, the line is very strong and casts very well. It has become my new favorite line for baitcasters (I still use Big Game for spinning reels).I use this line for crankbaits, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. As I do not own a boat and shore fish, most places I fish are not very deep but often I need to be able to drag a bait through weeds, so the 17lb line is perfect for this application.

Great line for the price. Very strong knot strength and it's really thin for the breaking strain so it's means more line on the spool and great casting distance.
