An adjustable guitar hanger for flat wall surfaces. This hanger allows you to change the direction the instrument faces. The long arm provides the clearance to display most instruments at any angle desired. The arm is 7 inches long with a 2 inch swing arm for the yoke.

Works great! I found 12” spacing between hangers with them angled about 45* is perfect for acoustic guitars. If the hangers were set so guitars hung perpendicular to the wall, the hangers could probably be closer together.

Saves a lot of space, and most of my guitars are in one place instead of hanging all around the room. Very well-made product, sturdy, and not much flexing, especially considering the length of the arm.

I have around 50 or 60 of these guitar hangers, and I love them. When I put together my studio, I needed to hang some guitars. A LOT of guitars, and that means a lot of guitar hangers. I also needed to fit them into a relatively tight area (relative, that is, to the number of guitars). Of course, my first impulse was to try to find something cheaper in bulk, but after trying out a few options, I wasn't satisfied with the quality, and I certainly don't want to hang an expensive guitar on a cheap hanger. I finally decided to spring for these String Swing adjustable hangers and it was expensive at this scale, but worth it.These are very solid, high quality hangers with a headstock-securing yoke that can be rotated to position a guitar face out from the wall, 90 degrees to the wall or at any angle in between. Regardless of the position, guitars feel rock-solid and secure in these hangers. Construction features a hefty steel plate with a steel rod welded perpendicular to the center. The rod is attached to another short rod via a hefty joint pinned with a thumbscrew. The yoke threads into this assembly with steel and rubber washers in between. This allows the yoke and the arm to both to be rotated for various positions and headstock angles. You can easily adjust tension on the moving bits so it's simple to position the guitar one-handed, but the guitar stays put in the chosen position. The whole setup is rock solid and instills confidence, even hanging very expensive guitars. The sleeves on the yoke that make contact with the guitar are at once soft and durable, and I've had no issues with any reactions between the soft material and vintage guitar finishes, well after a year later. It goes without saying that care must be taken in securing the hanger to the wall. The included black steel screws are attractive and nicely finished with a thread that is better suited, in my opinion, to driving into hardwood rather than the soft material of the typical framing stud. I mounted my hangers on a wooden French cleat type system, using the stock screw for the top hole, and a longer heavy duty wood screw for the bottom (the cleats are fixed with screws and not removable in my setup). I'd suggest if screwing these directly to studs to get some longer, washer-head wood screws for that purpose. String Swing also offers this design with a slatwall mounting plate which another great option. The hangers provide plenty of clearance for all of the electric guitars I've hung whether they are positioned parallel to the wall, perpendicular or at an angle. For some acoustic guitars you may need to pack the hanger out away from the wall with a spacer block to provide clearance if you want to position the guitar perpendicular to the wall, but they fit fine as-is when positioned parallel or at a slight angle.I've been really happy with String Swing hangers for years (I have some other styles, too), and I'm glad to have gone this route for my studio. They look great, are highly versatile, and sport excellent built quality.

These String Swing hangers are very sturdy. Holds my 10+ lbs basses with ease. I bought wall mount style. I've mounted barn style board across the room on studdings then place wall mounts anywhere on the board. I'll be ordering 3 more!

I have a bunch of the standard String Swing instrument hangers but wanted to get my guitars higher up on the wall and taking up less space so I made a mounting board and put 5 of these on it. I wish they were a bit more robust… they don’t feel super strong. But they install easily, look great, and do the job.

If you have more guitars than you have wall, these hangers are for you because you can hang your instruments sideways so more will fit in a smaller space. But you need to drill into a stud to use them--so they're only space savers if you hit a stud for each guitar hanger, UNLESS, you first put a nice looking board (1x6 or 2x6) that will span a couple of studs, and make sure to drill into the studs from the board. Then install the hangers on the board.

I wanted to have some more space and less risk for damage in a house with kids. I asked my local vintage guitar shop what hangers they used. They told me these. I now get why. They are attractive, simple, strong, versatile, and easy to install. The shop told me they were the only ones they trusted for older finishes. Im very satisfied. I will by String Swing again.

This string swing hanger solved a problem of the usual too many guitars in a small space. I used these in between wall mounted hangers to stagger the guitars out, doubling the number of guitars. However, I did mount a long piece of 1 x 6 stained/finshed pine stock to the wall and this solves the old stud hunting problem. Before finding this product I was considering making extensions to create the space using wood extensions. These hangers are made by the same company that made the wall hangers I use. Good reliable and non marring/marking covering on the hooks. The product is well made and sturdy, but I am not using them for the really heavy instruments. The smaller body instruments are out front with plenty of space in between first and second rows.
