My clip broke on my camper water heater cover and i just used a string to tie it closed untiil i found this. Made out of good material and not sure i will ever have to use the other that came with it but its good to have two. Just pulled it around 3 hours and didnt have an issue with the door staying closed.

The latch on our water heater cover broke. This replacement works great. Fairly easy to install and being all metal I don’t think it will break any time soon. Bought the two pack for the value. Don’t know if I will need the second one but I’ve got it in case I do.

I destroyed the first one trying to figure out how to install it. Accidentally I realized the tab come off if you compress the spring and then rotate the tab down the side. There is a slot where the tab comes out easily. Once the tab is out you can quickly install it by compressing the spring on the mount, putting the metal piece holding the spring through the opening on the mount and sliding the tab back through the slot on the side. Easy.
