  • 2X AS STABLE: The starfish can handle the kicks punches, bumps and pushes that send our competitors to the floor. While other stands fall over with only 15 degrees of tilt, the Starfish stands its ground enduring over 30. It all comes down to a stand that’s twice as stable and an instrument that’s 100% more secure.
  • QUICK FOLDING: Bring security with you where it matters most on the road. The Starfish folds down to half its size in seconds, so you will never have to choose between security and a seedy setup again.
  • SAFE FOR ALL FINISHES: Guitars are art. The starfish treats them like it. Designed to the specifications of elite collectors, the Starfish uses T.P.E. plastic and archival grade fabric to cover all points of contact between the Starfish and your guitar, making sure your instrument stays a masterpiece.
  • GRIP NECK LOCK: Want the security of a self-locking mechanism without the bulk and weight? Your wish is granted. The Starfish uses our D&A Grip friction lock system. The Grip system virtually eliminates the possibility of instrument slippage by using optimally space teeth to maximize grip on practically any stringer instrument.
  • LIFETIME GUARANTEE: Top of the line materials, innovative design and groundbreaking engineering mean the Starfish is the last stand you will ever need to buy. Whether standing up to the rigors of the road or supporting the centerpiece of a home studio, the Starfish can take it all. Read more about the D&A Lifetime Guarantee. Carry bag sold separately.

Awesome! Whether I'm playing my guitar or bass, this stand is great for either. No worries about stability. The starfish lives up to its name and reputation.

I now own 4 of these. You cannot tip them over. I mean seriously....if you intend to knock them over they will fall. Otherwise, they will not tip over. Extremely stable. The costs reflects the quality.

Love it- super stable and attractive. Feels well built and has stood up to gigging without any difficulties for the first few months of ownership

Arrived on time, I noticed one of the padded legs were longer than the other one, tried to adjust but couldn’t , it doesn’t appear to affect the way it stands so I guess all good. Be cautious about extending the neck all the way up, if you do your guitar could rest against no padded area.just experiment first . Otherwise great stand, nice padded area and there is a twisty tie that hold the automatic clamp that needs to be removed , at first you will see the clamp is closed , just a heads up.

I got this model without the locking head. I already have one with the locking mechanism. Great stands, heavy duty, stable, easy to use and trust. They fit my Taylor acoustic great. The fit on my two 000 12 frets is a little tight, not to mention I use a strap string under the nut on those. They have a slightly wider neck, which I prefer for most songs. The fit is snug and easiest way to remove the guitar is twist it slightly as you pull it out. Even with that, it's the best stand I have used and the only stand I now use.

Personally, I think it is the best design and an truly original conception of a reliable Guitar Stand. Except that I purchased it mistakenly thinking that it could accommodate my 6 string Yamaha bass. Fortunately I could still use it for my Ibanez RS5000 4 string bass. It works like a CHARM. A good purchase, value for money.

I’m a little surprised at how sturdy the D&A Starfish Guitar Stand is compared to other guitar stands.I have a number of Proline HT1010 FretRest guitar stands, and these are good stands for guitars. Banjos with resonators are heavier than guitars, and because the weight is on the lower cradle, the FretRest is not very stable for banjos and tends to tip forward. Also, I sometimes inadvertently flip over the bottom cradle, and making sure that the cradle is in the right position is a minor annoyance. I prefer the D&A Guitar Starfish Stand because it’s more stable and easier to use.I also had a Hercules GS414B A/G Guitar Stand. It tipped over so quickly that I don’t really remember how it happened, except that I remember being surprised at how little force it took to tip it over. I think the extra weight of the banjo (with resonator) had a lot to do with it. Also, I read a lot of reviews about the handle on the Hercules guitar stand getting sticky and falling apart. I returned the Hercules GS414B and got full credit from Amazon.Banjos can get expensive, and I’m very comfortable with the D&A Guitar Starfish Stand and confident that it won’t tip over. It’s super stable and I really like how easy it is to hang my banjo on it by the neck without worrying about a bottom cradle.
