The red colour does not block out the light very well, so it not very "private". Would recommend selecting one that is either black or lined.

This is a very good outdoor enclosure for an outdoor shower, worked perfectly.

I put this up behind a shed that we converted to a business’ office, for an outdoor portable potty shelter. I did not get a “pop up” because I knew those would be too flimsy in the wind. So I got this, tie down type of tent with separate fiberglass poles. It took two ( experienced campers) about 15-20 minutes to set up . Not easy! Hated the three metal prongs at each base corner. Need to connect four poles to form a square at bottom / base of tent. Very poor design, does not hold “square” in place. The middle prong is supposed to aim upwards for insertion of the four vertical poles that go up the 4 sides of the tent. , The zipper is poor quality, or it was sewn in incorrectly. The zipper catches the nylon tent material EVERY TIME, I zip and I unzip it! Other than those issues, the privacy shelter is plenty big and tall enough to use as a bathroom as well as a changing room. It has two vent windows on each side.I am planning on keeping this up until it snows . It’s tie downs are very basic, simple, cheap metal with a curve in the top. A package of “tie down cords” was found in a plastic bag as a tangled, knotted mess of orange string. ( I still haven’t been able to untie the knotted mess.!) Hope it doesn’t blow away before I rig up my own heavy duty, spikes with better quality- parachute cord. Despite the issues, I would still recommend this shelter, as a very good privacy tent, much better/ sturdier than a pop-up! Otherwise, I really like my new tent “outhouse”. This is a simple to erect, effective and efficient cabana which does not cost a lot. It is very suitable for standing body washing, changing clothes or storing boxes of food or equipment overnight. (It is definitely NOT bear proof.....maybe not squirrel proof either. But it is good value for money

I received my cabana very quickly, within 10 minutes of receiving it I had it assembled. It was very simple to set up and all the parts fit as expected. However, when I opened the Amazon box, the product box inside was opened, the bags the parts were in were all opened and the cabana itself was stuffed in the opened box as if someone was in a hury to cram it back in the box. Obviously, this cabana had been returned from another customer. As far as the quality of the cabana, you get what you pay for. I set it up outside and as I expected, it was see through. I purchased it to use as a shower/porta-potty cabana, but without adding a liner/cover to it it will be more of a peep show for anyone within eye shot😳.I have made a fitted cover/curtain for it so I will keep it and it will work fine. Just beware, you can see through it in the sun or if a light is shining on it or you take a light inside with you.UPDATEOk, as I said the material is thin, wellll, I used it when we went camping this past weekend and it didn't make the trip home. That's right, as we were packing up, this thing wasn't worthy of bringing home, it went straight in the trash. The zipper failed, the seams gave way and the flaps/loops that held the poles pulled apart. I'm shocked Amazon allows trash like this to be sold on its website.I do NOT recommend this product!

Nice unit to keep our toilet system/set-up dry. Had a light snow on a recent trip and nice not to have to sit in that either. Only issue is when weather heats up, the flys start buzzing in. A little bit of a pain to set up, but once up and staked it's very secure even in the moderately brisk wind on a recent trip. See my review on Reliance Fold-to-go toilet seat.As mentioned by many, it is fussy to set up. However, when I decided to actually read the instructions it set up much easier. I used it as a toilet cabana for 4 1/2 weeks in one spot which 15 people visiting over that period (not all there at once). It was nice to camp in one spot for a longer time and not have the camp ringed by cat holes.

I read many of the reviews before purchasing this Stansport Privacy Shelter and I must say that either this product has been improved big time or there are a lot of pretender campers out there. This is easy to assemble and disassemble by myself. If you have to strain to put this shelter up then stop and check the following guidelines.The poles are shock corded and super easy to tell apart. The directions are plain and direct, only one page but you don't even need that. Two other reviewers already gave a step by step assembly lesson and that was very helpful.I set this up in a light breeze without help; a second person would make it easier though. Here are my hints:Lay the shelter out on the ground on a tarp with the top facing any wind.Assemble all your poles and lay them out separatelySlide the long poles with the metal bent ferrule into the top of the side sleeves of the tent with the bent ferrule towards the top. These are the yellow sleeves you can see in the picture of the shelter.The bent metal ferrule should be barely sticking out of the top of the sleeve.The two shorter poles with bent metal ferrule in the middle are now slid into the sleeves of the top so they cross.There is a nylon tie to secure the two centers of the poles so they do not shift much.Gently hold one of the top poles and bend it a little to go into the bent metal ferrule of one of the side poles.Connect the opposite end of this top pole into the opposite side pole. (Not the adjacent pole)Go back to the second top pole and connect it to one of the remaining side poles.Now connect the final end of the top pole to the last side pole.If it is not too windy you can stand the shelter upright. At this time you pull the shelter down towards the bottom of the side poles and place the center pin into the bottom of each pole.Slide the last four poles through the sleeves at the bottom of the shelter and slide a pin into each end.Continue until all four bottom poles are secured with the pins.Now you can pick this up as a unit and move it wherever you want. When you find the right spot secure the ring in each corner with a stake. A package of 4 heavy duty 10" stakes is less than $4. here on Amazon.If you want more secure fastening in windy conditions use four light rope or cords fastened above the top sleeve of each pole. If you do this be sure to position these ropes at the front door straight out from the shelter or you will put too much of a bind on the door zipper. The back two ropes can go out diagonally and if you bought another 4 of the 10" tent stakes you can have a very sturdy shelter. If there is too much tension on the zippered door merely tie a cord across the two poles on either side above the door and pull it a bit to tie and the door zipper works great. You can also use a long bungee cord for this as long as it is not too tight.NOW for all the reviewers who thought they could hang a 40 pound bag of water from the plastic D ring inside this shelter I have a suggestion for you. Buy three 10' pieces of 1/2" EMT electric conduit. Cut them into 5' lengths and also buy 4 EMT couplings; you will have one spare. You can assemble these as a tripod over the shelter and hang your shower bag from this.This review might seem too detailed; but after reading all the faulty reviews it is obvious there are a lot of folks out there who should never go out of the city on any camping trip without proper supervision.Buy this great privacy shelter and your camping adventure will be more enjoyable and everyone in the group will thank you for buying this. After the first time assembling it you can leave the directions behind.One other thing you can do with the light tent pegs that come with this; bend the hooks nearly closed on all four. Slip the nearly closed loop of the peg into the round ring at each corner. Place a large rock or cinder block on this peg and you do not need to anchor it down. For tailgaters this is an easy solution on asphalt parking lots.Also buy a cheap straight rip claw hammer to pound in and remove the 10" stakes ( long nails really).
