Replaced the old one on my 2010 Honda CRV. Had good reviews from other buyers so I decided to go with it. Had a CEL specifically that pointed me to the solenoid, so replaced it, cleared the code, and its been off since.

It was a bit of a pain to install and only lasted 6 months. Very disappointing. Not looking forward to replacing again (with a better part).

Here's the deal. The ohm reading for this thing is wrong and it's is incompatible with the computer. The Honda part should read something like 22 ohms and this thing reads something like 26 (or it's the other way around, I don't recall). SO THIS PART WON'T WORK... Unless mine was damaged or you get lucky.JUST BUY THE HONDA PART. It will cost you like 15 to 20 bucks more, but it will work. With the legit Honda part, all my codes are gone!Including gas cap warning! With this aftermarket part, it may have caused my throttle body/AIC to malfunction causing shakes at stop lights... So bad that my engine mounts might be toast. That could be incidental... But... DON'T RISK IT! For another similar part on Amazon, someone had the same problems I have, and they all o cured after replacing with a non-Honda solenoid valve! Shakes and all!Prev review:Still have codes:P0497&P145CReplace gas cap code isn't constant. Seems TK be intermittent. Goes away when clearing the codes, but comes back sometimes. The codes always come back though.

Replaced this part on my 2010 Honda CR-V in about 30 minutes and it fixed the issue I was having with the "check fuel cap" warning and check engine light. Now the gas mileage is back to normal.(Was only averaging 16-18 mpg before replacing this part)If you have the tools and any mechanical skills you can change this part yourself. Plenty of you tube videos out there to show you what to do. Hopefully the part will keep functioning as long, or longer than the original.

Got rid of that annoying "check gas cap" light that is not caused by the gas cap. Mileage also improved slightly, maybe 1-2 more MPG. However, it is nowhere near as easy to install as the online videos suggest. Mine did not even have a bolt on the top of it, it had a screw. The bottom bolt, or screw, cannot even be seen on an '09 Honda CR V. Luckily I found an honest family owned repair shop who installed it for $50, but even they had a hard time and they had to remove "the entire assembly", to get at this part. It took them about 45 minutes to an hour to install it. BTW- The price here on Amazon is half of what auto parts stores charge, either online or in person.

Drove my car for over 2 years with the Check Engine light on, every time I scanned the car with an OBDII reader, it would tell me "Check fuel cap" so I've changed fuel cap twice and light stayed on until I changed this part recently after watching a video about it on Youtube. :)Now my car's fuel efficiency is back to normal and no Check Engine light is on.

I bought this part for my 2009 Honda Civic SI 2.0l because I have been smelling fuel in the cab whenever I have the heater on. I read some forums and there were a few suggestions on where to start to diagnose the problem. This being one of them I ordered one and installed it but am still getting a slight odor of fuel when the heater is on. The smell is not as thick as it was before I installed this part but it's still there. I am starting to think it may be an exhaust leak because it doesn't quite smell like raw fuel. It is also leaking oil some where around the valve cover looks like around the back of the engine. My gas mileage has reduced terribly. Unfortunately it didn't fix what was going on with my Honda but the part was of good quality and was simple to install. The price was worth testing the waters on a solution.
