It works good. At least I'm not going to have multiple failed attemps to divot wood/metal like my automatic punch!

Excellent tool to set Brad nails/trim nails. My nail gun was set incorrectly for a series of nails and this tool saved the day. Setting the nails was easy and with a small amount of filler/caulk the baseboards looked perfect.

I'm a painter so I have this tool in my pocket. Amazes me how carpenters don't fix their own nails errors.

This little tool does a fantastic job of settling everything from fascia to brad nails, and the smaller end is good for 23 gauge pin nails. Carrying this in my tool pouch means not having to carry a hammer, if I'm just looking to set nails. My only regret is not buying a second one, to have as a spare for when my colleagues ask to borrow it.

The sort of thing that's easily overlooked. No one needs it, until they have a protruding brad. Typically, that would result in aggravation or trying to sink the brad by some more complicated means that still ends up hurting the surrounding wood. But I must say, this simple little gadget is perfect for making any brad nail flush or deeper into your wood project. Incredibly simple to use, nice quality, and very sturdy. It also takes literally a few seconds to sink each brad flush, with no need for any specific skills, dexterity, or much accuracy.

I actually bought my first one these at a thrift store for $1. The spring was a little weak and bent but it still worked great for years until I lost it. Found myself doing quite a bit of finish work and decided to order another. Super easy to use, can set 18ga brads or 15ga and bigger finish nails. Spring is super strong compared to my first one and should last a long time. Find a good spot in your tool pouch for it, sucks when it goes missing

I am a finish carpenter and I have used a a lot of tools, but this nailset is by far my favorite tool ever. As part of my job I install a lot of baseboard, crown, etc, using really hard woods. Most of the time the nail gun will set the nails, but every once in a while I will get a nail that doesn't sink all the way.The reason I love the SpringTools nail set is that it allows me to do all of my work without having to carry a hammer. The Spring nail set doesn't just work as well as a typical hammer and nailset, I have found that it works better. I can more accurately place the spring nailset without having to worry about it slipping off of the nail and putting a hole in the wood. Because of the spring, I fill like I am getting a stronger hit then a hammer can provide, without any added shock. The spring has the same affect as a deadblow.I have been using the same one for years, and it only has a small chip in the metal.
