Very easy to install. I left it in the sun to soften up after removing it from the box, like the instructions said to do. It ended up laying out quite nicely.I may have gone a bit in depth with painting as i didnt want to have any issues so i figured i would lay out my process in case any one else wants to color match theirs because they dont come painted(obviously).I used 0000 steel wool to scuff the spoiler before wiping with alcohol to prep the surface. Do this step before you tape off the edges as the dust and particles from sanding will get stuck in the edges of your tape.Tape your edgesPRIMING:I then applied a spray on adhesion promoter to encourage a good bond between the paint and plastic/rubber. Next i layered on a few THIN coats of primer. Thin was the key here to achieve a nice even coat. After covering the entire spoiler with primer I sanded it with 400 grit sand paper and sprayed one more coat of primer for a total of one can used.PAINTAfter getting the primer on nice and smooth I proceeded to lay down a few coats of Duplicolor Color match Volkswagen Hyper silver for a total of two cans of spray paint. Before i sprayed the last coat of silver i sanded again with 400 grit sandpaper.CLEAR COAT:This is pretty much the same process as the paint step but i laid the clear on a bit thicker as it tends to get dusty looking if your coats are not wet enough. Again, sanding down just prior to the last coat of clear, for a total of about a can and a half of Duplicolor clear coat. After your clear coat dries (about a day or at the very least, overnight) you can proceed to wet sand and polish it as you would normal paint. Just be careful when sanding as to not apply too much pressure because remember the spoiler is soft and you dont want to crack the paint you just worked to make look good.I’ve had mine on and painted for a little over a month now and I couldn’t be happier. I hope this helps anyone that wants to buy this spoiler and color match it. It took me a while to figure out a good process to ensure the paint would stick. Good luck!

Fairly simple install. I did not have it painted because my car is black. You must heat it up before attempting install. I left it in my back seat on a hot day and it was completely soft and easy to place.

For the product being $80, it reminds me of something that looks 3D printed. It's made of a flexible material which makes for a semi-easy install, however it comes unpainted and will require you to have either 1) all the right tools and knowledge to paint it in order for it to look OEM+, or 2) will require you to take it to a paint shop and spend a lot of money to get it done right. I sanded mine to be smooth and then used primer before the paint... but the primer seemed to just be absorbed by the material. I then went over the primer with a ton of light layers of factory white paint and you could still see the black color through it. I repeated the process until it was totally white and let it sit / dry for 24 hours. When I picked it up, I noticed a few runny spots on one side, so I tried to lightly sand them out; however, because of the material and it's flexibility, it took a lot of the paint with it. It's at a point where I would either need to start over or just scrap the whole thing. The tape looks nice for easy install, however, I imagine it will require 2 people to put it on and potentially a 3rd person to stand behind and make sure it's being placed on the car very straight.Honestly I'm disappointed with the product for the price. It should be around $30 for a piece of rough-looking rubber.

Perfect fit for a 2015 VW Jetta. I installed a BlackVue black box with two cameras, one in front and one in the rear window, the one camera in the rear was getting too hot (a lot of glass back there). I had the windows tinted but was still getting hot and distort the video. I bought this a attempt to shade the rear camera from the sun and heat. So far seems to do a great job and a great looking spoiler as a bonus.
