The guys who run this lift bang around the joystick like it's a battering ram and it's no wonder the old one was sketchy. I got this one since I knew it fits a ton of JLG products including some booms too, but a wide range of lifts. Installation is simple because you're supposed to change out the joysticks periodically - it's a vital controller - a couple of screws hold the fascia plate down and then underneath I just unplugged the old and plugged in the new. The new one works sooo much better. The guys don't even have to slam it around hard to get it to work, so small movements of the lift, and heavy onboard cargo, are smoother and much safer.
