I removed the chain, put loose leaf catnip in it, and placed it on hardwood floor. The 3⅓-inch is large enough to not get lost under the sofa. Drops a light trail of herbal dust when rolled around. The ring bump prevents it from going too far away. As others already noted, it is difficult to open. But otherwise, a very sturdy product.

I bought this to clean small RC parts in a ultrasonic cleaner. I put the dirty parts in the ball and drop it in the ultrasonic cleaner. Works fine for what I bought it for. You do have to let it cool down before unscrewing it though.

I was actually very happy with this item when it first arrived. The price is very reasonable and delivery was quick. Unfortunately, after three uses the locking mechanism failed which results in the contents being distributed within the tea. I am quite sure the issue is that the ball deformed during opening/closing or during heating enough to render the locking mechanism ineffective. I would suggest getting a model that has the screw on or latching top.

This is very poor quality and because it was slightly bended it was very difficult to open. Size was nice for a large pot to put spices. Disappointed, had to send back.

giant holes make the tea go right through, so it is useless for brewing tea without putting a filter or the tea into bags. (which voids the whole reason for using the product) It was also very dirty (or painted?) when it arrived and left marks on the packaging and all over my hands before I washed it.

The design needs to be reworked. There’s no purchase on the surface so you can’t open the bloody thing. You need to jam a knife or spoon into the seam and try to shimmy it open, which is dangerous to say the least.Oh and the little chain link attached to the top may as well be made of paper!!! It’s hopeless!

It's a metal ball with holes in it. You put stuff in it and drop it in hot liquid, hot liquid takes on said stuff's flavor.Like I said, it would take more effort to make something that didn't work. When I opened it, there were holes and it was in ball form, so 5 stars. Works as advertised.

I wanted a larger tea ball so I ordered the xl. Well, it is huge. I love it even though it us bigger than I bargained for. This is perfect for soups or large carafes of coffee or tea for a crowd. Great for nulled cider. Now to downsize it. I wish I could buy a set of various sizes of this style from this supplier.

Perfect for bigger spices like the ones used to make pho. Says it can also be used for making tea, but it is definitely too big for a mug or even the opening of some tea pots. Has not rusted and is sturdy. It is a little tough to open and close, but gets easier with use. I have both hand washed and machine wash. Both were fine. Top rack only for machine wash though.
