Very pleased, I run a small business (machine shop) ordered several sizes and they cut really well holding a nice cutting edge as good as the expensive ones I've been ordering for years. I first used the 1/32 dia.Cut 6 die inserts S-7 toolsteel a little thicker than 1/8..Triangle shape about 1"Cut every one of them accurately, didn't break one.Wished I'd started using these sooner, and be noticed idk least couple years back. Saving me a couple bucks to say the least

I now have several Speed Tiger carbide end mills, and all of them have been fantastic. This one is my largest to date (5/8"). The edges are all ground nicely and they feel very sharp to the touch. The included plastic sleeve is of adequate quality to protect against damage during shipping or in your tool drawer. I did a few test cuts on mild steel, which is my primary expected use for an end mill of this configuration, and didn't have any issues at all. It cuts like butter and leaves a good surface finish. My machine is fairly small (an older Jet-16 bench top mill) so I can't push these cutters anywhere near their limits. For me and my shop they work awesome. Good quality, sharp tooling, and reasonably priced. Can't go wrong with Speed Tiger.

This bit cuts quite well. I haven't tried any really hard grades, but it works fine on mild steel. It hasn't gotten much use at all, but it seems durable so far. Bits can get so expensive, but this seems like a solid value to me.

I've been thoroughly impressed with these carbide end mills! The 45-degree helix angle design really makes a difference, providing enhanced cutting precision compared to the typical 35-degree designs. The cutting contact area is noticeably increased, which results in cleaner and more accurate cuts. These end mills handle a range of steel types effortlessly, from Carbon Steels to Hardened Steels, and even Cast Iron. The AlTiBN coating is a standout feature—it offers remarkable stability at high temperatures, far surpassing other coatings like TiAlN or TiN. This makes it a reliable choice for demanding machining tasks. The micrograin carbide construction is another highlight, offering exceptional toughness and durability. With a fine workmanship that ensures high accuracy with minimal error, this end mill truly delivers professional cutting quality.Overall, this tool is an excellent value for the price and has exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend it for both seasoned professionals and hobbyists looking for top-notch performance!

I do like the Speed Tigers. They're one of my three go to companies for affordable, quality end mills. I can't afford the Kennametals - even if I could i wouldn't buy them right now. I'm not a machinist – I do a lot of machining – but I'm not a machinist. I don't have any production woes to keep up with, and time ain't money when all you have is time – and time would be about all I'd have if I burnt up a 300 dollar end mill due to a calculation error. I gave Speed Tiger's a try when I needed some 3/16” end mills to cut a 5 foot keyway in a Cr flavored boat prop shaft that became the reversing rod on my Monarch. The 3/16” Speed Tigers I bought were the same flavor as this BeAuTiFul 5/8” - four flute micro grain with the AlTiBN coating. I burnt up the first 3/16” in the five foot keyway, the second was none too happy when I swapped her out for a fresh end mill to make the final passes, but she was still cutting. Yeah, I probably could have bought a higher quality cutter for 50 bucks and maybe finished the whole cut with one cutter – maybe. I didn't - I bought (5) speed tigers for 35 bucks and still have 3 good 3/16” end mills – (two are virgin). Yippie Kai Yie Yay get along little Dawgies. I've done some test cuts with this 5/8” big brother of those 3/16” on the same CR flavored SS – Scraps from the reverse shaft. Looks like the same end mill when it's under a glass – think it might have just got left in the incubator a little longer. Test cuts were made between 500 and 550 rpm. I got a decent finish – I suspect it would get better if I went faster – but I'm scared. I'm sure I'll get over it soon though – when I need her for a real project.7 Super Novas for The 4 Flute Micrograin Carbide Long Reach Speed Tiger~ Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life! ~

Better than expected for a economy cutter. Was able to get a good finish whith lite passes and good material removal without dulling quickly. Seems to be a good economy cutter option.

I am only a DIYer with a small shop at home. I have an entry level "Mini-Mill" that I use to repair or design things for our home and recreation. That said, I am not a machinist, my knowledge is quite limited. That said, I have used both cheap and expensive end mill bits. I would not in any way classify these as cheap. The cheap ones dull quickly, and break too easily when the going gets too rough for them. These perform like the expensive tooling I have used (limited experience). The bit is clean and sharp. I see no flaws with its construction or performance. It cuts as smooth as any I have used.I am really tired of the cheap ones that just do not perform well, and/or do not last. This is the second of this brand I own (different size), and I am equally as impressed with both of them. Obviously, I do not know how long these will last me. But I think it will be well worth the cost. I certainly recommend this end mill if you are in the market.
