Works perfect for my ram 3500 HD 2013. Highly recommend changing this if you are doing a heater core replacement due to lack of heat. Also install a cabin airfilter kit if you are replacing these for lack of heat

Purchased for a 2012 Ram 1500 with a 4.7L engine. The original repair was for a leaking heater core but because the dashboard must be removed along with the HVAC box, it's a very good idea to replace everything in the HVAC box that can leak, even if it is not, yet. It's a very involved repair that you only want to attempt once.I wasn't able to source an OEM evaporator except from a dealership for a lot more money so I went with this aftermarket version. I was happy to see that the dimensions were identical to the original evaporator, and that all of the insulation was included. It is common for aftermarket units to be a little smaller, or not include the insulation in manufacture which can lead to a loose fit. No such problem with this unit. Perfect fit, no rattles, no leaks. It included the two O rings for the input and output ports and came capped with a steel plate to prevent contamination. I did notice when removing the plate to install the expansion valve that the evaporator was slightly pressurized which is also a nice touch. Be sure to keep the unit capped until you are ready to install the expansion valve.Note the attached photo of the removed AC evaporator. It wasn't leaking but because this truck did not include a cabin air filter in production, the evaporator acted as the filter leading to all of the contamination to the core fins. This can also result in mold growth and a foul smell. Fortunately, it is possible to install a cabin air filter (the provisions are there, it just wasn't installed) and this should also be accomplished during this repair.Had the system recharged with R134a refrigerant and dye tested for leaks. All is well and the AC is ice cold.

The catalog was not accurate, the fitting to the manifold hose assembly is the incorrect form factor.
