It is good and sturdy not cheap plastic. Only issue we had was the bolt was about an inch to short for our lamp post. I'm sure we could have made an adapter or something but we just took a hammer and dented in by the hole a little and now it fits perfectly and looks so nice.

Easy to install, nice metal material that seems sturdy. I had to paint it aged iron to match my light post because it comes in a shiny black but fit perfectly. Added reflective 3inch vinyl numbers to complete the look. A little pricey for what it is but if this will last then it is well worth it.

UPDATE - I started to toss this but noticed that the piece of threads-all that connects the two parts comes out of the handle part and was in much deeper than it needed to. So there wasn't enough fetch for the sign part to fully connect. I took the threads-all all the way out of the handle and then put it back in a good 5 or so turns. Now the sign has stayed firmly tight for a week. Bumped the review up from 2 to 4 stars. If it last I will come back and give another star. Up to 5* as the fix works.I gave this an extra star for being solidly built and looking great. Problem is that it won't stay tight. I check it every week or two and every time it is tilting down and I have to give the thing at least a full half dozen turns to get it tight again. Or more. Only a matter of time before I get fed up and just toss it. Shame as otherwise it is very nice.

I was reluctant to buy this ladder rest, but was not disappointed when it arrived.This thing screws together very nicely and firmly, and the aluminum construction was much more solid than I anticipated. I primed and then painted ours to match our lamp post. I plan to add metal address numbers when they arrive in the mail.For anyone wondering, the usable area inside the sign is approximately 7.75" by 3.5".

I had just about given up on replacing this feature on our new home's lamp post. The old one was missing, just the holes were there, This "ladder rest" (who knew that's what they're called!) was exactly what was needed. It is easy to install, just insert the two pieces in the lamp post holes & screw together until tight. It's a bit pricey, but certainly cheaper than replacing the entire lamp post.

Exactly what I needed and is very sturdy as made of metal not plastic. Had no problems installing by hand. Had to touch up a couple nicks with black glossy spray paint but I was already doing that for the whole lamp post so no big deal to me. It looks great.

I bought this item to replace the number sign that came with my outdoor light pole. I had no idea if it would fit the pre-drilled hole in my light pole but decided to take a chance. So glad I did!This item is made of metal is substantial in weight and heft. This sign will not bend or break. It looks great, too. Nice powercoat finish in a satin black.The installation took less than 30 seconds. The sign fit perfectly in the pre-drilled hole in my light pole. I am very pleased with my purchase. Five stars.
