Wooden arrows are strong, straight, accurate and well made.
When reasonably straightened, wood arrow are fine for short range drills, if you need something heavier than bamboo or carbon fiber, and easier to straighten on the fly than aluminum arrows.

Pros: strait, good place to start for modifications or practice. Cons: Weights varied quite a bit. (Wood will do that- different densities depending on if it was heart or sap wood, how the tree grew, etc). Over the dozen arrows: 424.9 grains was the lowest (and way way lighter than the next lightest- 508.8), to 554.4 grains. Quite a few were in the 530 grain ballpark. Some of the string lashing on the fletching was loose or not glued down well- easy enough fix with a few dabs of glue. The nocks were not perfect- some too tight but a flat file fixes this in a few seconds. For the money- decent enough. Just expect to have to do some fine tuning. It might be nice if the weights were grouped better- plus or minus 15 grains and call that a dozen instead of having such a wide spread.

For decoration or awards, fantastic look and feel. For actual use, 3 were too warped and 5 fletching were not straight or out of alignment or detaching to the point of blatant inaccuracy. Two of those 5 were also warped so... 8 usable of 12 in the end.For 8 of 12 in a handmade item that was abused by shipping to be usable, that's the lost star. Being handmade allows some inaccuracy, but not blatant rush errors with twisted feathers, glue not even applied and using undried wood.Anything else is a bonus.I stand by my assessment for look/awards over use. still fun to shoot a classic, however.

I am not an avid archer so I really don't know what to look for in an arrow, but I love the look of these arrows. They will go well with my King's Ranger cosplay outfit. I have two bows and when the weather gets better I will test these out. They feel well made and the construction looks just as good as my synthetic arrows. I am hoping these are sturdier since they are wood.

Wow!!! This is such a beautifully crafted set of arrows. I'll admit, I've never had turkey feather arrows before, and definitely never wooden ones. Mine are usually carbon or aluminum, and the feathers, I have no idea what they are. Probably synthetic... but these, OMG, they're amazing! I never knew real feathers could be so perfect! The arrows shoot nicely and they don't mess up my clusters. They group nicely, so that means the arrows are well made. I'm so happy with this. These are now my new favorite arrows!
