I would have given this product five stars if it could do what it promised: play DVDs from any region. Unfortunately, when I recently bought a DVD of 1984 (feat. soundtrack by The Eurythmics), I got an error message saying that this machine couldn’t play it, as it was “out of region.” I tried updating the software, but got a screen message saying that the software is up to date.

Easy to watch from right out of the box, hasn't given me ANY problems (yet), the Region Free goes for Blu-ray only - not DVD's. For the price, very good. Size is perfect. Features and performance are very adequate. So far - lovin' it.
