They will work if you know how to use them. I accidentally soldered some of it to one of the metal pads I was working on and ended up pulling the pad completely off!HOWEVER, if that does happen. Don't try and melt the solder wick off, you will only damage the pad. Just add more solder to the spot that is stuck and the wick will attach to the solder and let go of the pad.
