I placed the detection unit 50 feet from my house to let me know when someone is at my gate,nothing happens with my receiver, it works just fine inside my house about 10 / 15 feet away but that's it,with me being profoundly deaf I depend on these sort of things ( visual doorbell,and driveway alert )As of this writing, Neither the sending unit Nor the receiver work at ALL !! The receiver when you plug it in, it only comes on maybe 1/4 of the way and immediately quits all together! The sending unit on the other hand, plug it into a charger, green light comes on as fully charged, unplug the charger, dadgum thing is as dead as a door knob !DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this Pile of Junk !!! Amazon will not replace it either, I should know , I asked for a replacement or refund,, NO RESPONSE!!

This solar powered driveway alarm was dependable and functioned properly for about 5 months. After a couple days of "misfires" (going off repeatedly without cause) I went to make my inspection. The brown casing had filled with water. After emptying the water out, allowing for a few days to dry out and recharge, I deemed it a piece of junk (that's what I said " you piece of junk!"). I was expecting a little more life from it based on its price point and being waterproof.

I love hearing the sound when someone is coming in my driveway. It works very good. I just put it around a tree near our driveway and it alerts me when someone’s coming in.

Purchased this so I know when people are approaching my house. My driveway is a 1/4 ml circle. I installed this at the entrance. It worked immediately without fuss. When something goes past the monitor an alarm goes off in my house. I have a metal constructed house and signal is sometimes hard to get inside - not so with this. I love the alarm and would highly recommend. It is a rather low price for such a great product and peace of mind!

Hi I love these early warning devices. The big annoyance with all of them are the false alarms.Here is how you can limit them. Take a bit of vinyl tape, cut a small portion to be place on the left and right side of the front lens, leaving only about a 1/2 inch opening in the center. This will give you a more direct beam straight across your driveway, lessoning the area of the beam opening/view that causes the false alarms. You can addtionally adjust your taped coverage to better suit your situation etc. accordingly. Cheers
