I'm reviewing the 60A/500Vdc version of this breaker. Despite the comical diction and grammar in the instruction booklet, the DC breaker assembly is a well-made, easy to install necessity in DC-coupled solar installations. I got this one to serve as a quick disconnect and protection breaker in the backhaul from a 20 panel ground-mounted string to the inverter, the theoretical peak current from which is 44A at 320 Vdc, so I can work on this array without taking my other ones out of generation. It's just cheap insurance considering the price of my inverter and batteries.The housing is substantial and seems qualified for outdoor installation. This model is an improvement over the last generation that had single strain relief grommets and it has a better weather seal in the front access cover. The strain reliefs are well-sealed with holes for both conductors that worked well with my 10 AWG wire.I tested this in a simple DC circuit in which I am able to generate currents up to 100 A and 500V with good results. The breaker reliably opened at an average of 58.9A and offered good protection against shorts by opening within 70ms. The tests produced no apparent damage, and I've installed it now in my system. I've only had it a few days so I can't speak to its durability or longevity yet, but my initial impression is that it's a good product and reasonably priced. I will come back in 6 months or so and update this with more real-world observations.
