Works great really easy to use. I use it for charging my Ebike batteries with a 200W Portable Solar Panel.

I put two of these in to charge my 24 v gate opener batteries. So far they seem to work and should save my batteries from over/under charging. The instructions tell you how to set the output voltage but you'll have to determine what that voltage should be depending on the battery type. This device will step up the panel voltage to what you set but that means the panel voltage has some limits. The instructions say the panel(s} have to put out 17 or more volts and (I think) 2 volts less than the battery voltage but they seem to work at a lower input voltage.

I have 3 100w 20v panels that I was hoping to run in parallel but their optimum operating voltage is 16 and solar tracking should be 12-20v but this has an unusually high minimum not stated in the description of 17v and a max of 55v. So even if I put these in series it’d need to be 36v-60v then can’t charge the battery if the battery falls below 66v. I’m pretty confused how this could be useful. You’d almost have to have specifically a 40v panel and only use it to charge a 72v battery. Any other configuration would hit its shut off parameters wether the panel or battery. They should just say that.

Just put the solar panel on the bike using this charge controller. Super simple to use and I love that it tells you the voltage that it's at and the amps that it is taking in and putting out.Have to wait and see how it holds up long term but for right this second it seems to be doing the job.

Built like a tank, waterproof, can be used in so many different projects including solar. A very versatile buck boost power supply. Very simple to operate.

I have a 48v battery left over from a project and needed a way to charge it with 12V solar panel. It works perfect. Easy to setup and configure plus no moving parts aka fans.

This charge controller works wonderfully!! I have two 30V solar panels in my backyard and I had them connected in parallel. I quickly added two sets of Anderson connectors to the IN and OUT of the controller, hooked it up to the panels and then the bike battery and, BOOM, it was pulling 14A from the solar panels and putting 5.6A into the battery. Only complaint is it gets very hot. I might have to add my own fan.
