This helmet has cushion but fits well for a child or teen it has great head protection and this could be used for every day activities not just rugby. It is lightweight and the quality of the material is better than I had expected. This item has great functionality and works well when worn. My so. Wore this and said it is comfortable. Two thumbs up!

Got this headguard for my kid who's always getting bonked playing sports. It's lightweight and doesn't seem to bother them, which is a huge plus. Seems pretty sturdy so far, and the padding feels decent. Definitely gives me some peace of mind knowing they have a little extra protection. Haven't had any serious impacts yet, so can't speak to that, but for everyday bumps and jostles it's working great. Straps are easy to adjust and it stays put pretty well. Overall, happy with the product.

This soft helmet turned out to be a great multi-purpose purchase. While it's clearly designed for sports like rugby and flag football, I actually got it for my grandfather, who has been experiencing balance issues and occasional falls. The padding provides just enough protection to give him a little extra confidence when moving around, and the adjustable fit ensures it stays secure without feeling tight or uncomfortable.The design is lightweight and breathable, so he doesn’t feel overheated wearing it around the house. The velcro straps in the back and under the chin allow for a snug but flexible fit, and the ear openings ensure he can still hear clearly without obstruction. While I wouldn’t rely on this for heavy-impact falls, it’s a great option for minor bumps and daily wear.For sports, I can see how this would be a solid choice as well. Hey it's a soft helmet and protects like one for non-carcrash contact sportsThe unit is comfortable and relatively secure. (so it doesn't get ripped off)While it has soft-style impact protection the big pay off I think is the ear protection, both from impact/hookinf/tearing and it is vented appropriately to prevent ear boxingI treat them as ear protection as much as anythingWhile this was sent to me for review, I take that job seriously. Getting people the wrong product is wasteful, irresponsible and a hassle for everyone.Not everything I review gets high marks -- BTW, I live in a high sales tax state, review items aren't exactly at-no-cost for me]

Did not want to pay for some thin flimsy scrum cap so ended up finding this random brand. My head is about 1.5-2" larger than the stated large sizing. However, since the back of the cap is adjustable with mini Velcro straps, I was able to enlarge it and it fit me well, just a bit snug. My ears fit in the holes so no uncomfortable rubbing. Padding is decently thick as well. And the chin strap is very secure and nice length. I wouldn't hesitate to buy! Doubly so if it's for your child playing any contact sport.

This soft helmet is adjustable. It has velcro by the chin and in the back. It ensures a secure fit on the head. My grandson will be using this for flag football.
