This helmet was bought for my 8 year old son for ice skating. It is made out of very cheap materials and did not fit at all. I ordered the child size and it was more a size for babies or dolls. It came in a flimsy plastic bag wadded up and wrinkled. The padding is not very dense and I don't think it would protect from much more than a fall on the grass, nothing hard like ice or concrete or another human skull. I don't think it would help with falling in a pool it is so flimsy. I don't recommend this.

My autistic son is prone to headhitting, and this is the only helmet he tolerates to wear for extended periods. It's as if he forgets it's there till he tries to hit himself, and he's now switched more to body hitting (which, though not great, is much safer) to get whatever relief head-hitting used to give him

Works well for what I bought it for. Came quickly and looks/feels as described. You can adjust the size a bit which is nice!
