Hammock was shipped very quickly.. At first opening , I was very impressed with the size"very light and compact". Comes with everything you need to setup and use..I had 2 problems with... Tho, it doesn't affect the use enough to change my mind about the product. First was the that the tree straps wouldn't fit around one of the trees I was tying it to.. Seeing tree, I was already doubting that it would.. But since I was camping, I had a length of rope to substitute(it was big willow tree about 3 foot in diamter .. thats lot of tree so I didn't knock the supplied straps).. I was nervous to try it out.. I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs.. It seemed too thin.. But after getting in , it's was comfortable and strong! You'll notice the double stitching and what noticed no stretch.. But the paracord tree straps did..Second problem was that after 3 days of use..sitting and laying.. The pouch began to come apart from the hammock..I had 2 bulging discs in my lower back that I had surgery on less that a year ago and slept great and didn't have pain when I woke up!!! I definitely recommend the hammock!! Extremely great buy!!!!

The mosquito net seems really lightweight, "too" lightweight but it has stood up to my abuse so far. The mesh is fine enough no bugs will be getting through. The attached stuff bag turned inside out one time and the loose fabric of the stitched edges of the bag snagged on brush, resulting in this really fine nylon thread raveling off. Other than that is has been a good one, you just need to make sure you have nothing sharp in your pockets or on you or you'll rip it up. If you want ultralight gear you have to deal with ultralight materials, use your head! I'm 6' tall and once in it I have a foot of room above my head and at least a foot below my feet, just enough room to not be in the "pinch" area where the hammock meets the clip. Inside there are a couple pockets for a light, your glasses or whatever you may want to have handy. You might want to pick up a couple straps if you don't want the paracord they provide to cut into the trees you set up on, and have some paracord for the mosquito netting if you like having one-piece lines running full length parallel with the hammock. I put sticks between the tabs to help the net stand out to help give more room. They include tie-out lines with adjusters, you can tie them together to make lines long enough to work. All in all I like this hammock, my "ultralight" kit which has a lot of crap in it runs under 21 lbs.and my back is very thankful. My traditional pack loaded out is pushing 43 lbs.

I was skeptical about ordering the snugpak as this would be my first 'camping hammock' I'd have the experience of ordering. However after reading many favorable reviews online I decided to chance it- and am not disappointed.Extremely easy to set up, super light weight and one of the easiest set ups and take downs ever, I would definitely recommend this product- especially for the price.Must be noted though that I have only used this a few times, and the material does seem pretty weak so I cannot comment on the long term durability-- but so far so good!

Pros :The hammock is very comfortable, it folds back up very nicely into the little pocket bag, it works (where i was camping there were a lot of mosquitoes) very very well, i didn't get bitten though many tried. I could see them sticking their needles through the fabric trying to get to me.. which when there are a lot of them.. is kind of freaky. It is pretty light weight, i had no issues and was able to pack down and lower my overall bag weight. It is very easy to set up as well, this was the first time i've set up a hammock and it didn't take very long at all. I am 6' 200lbs and i had plenty of room in the hammock.Cons -The set up system, i thought was dumb, but that may well just be me. Tying two ropes together to make one to lift of the mesh instead of one rope... idk. Did't like it. The mesh fabric is VERY fragile.. rips very easily, luckily my aunt is a seamstress and was able to mend it for me. They could have reinforced the netting just a bit to make it more durable and still have it be light weight.Overall i love this hammock and will continue using it until it falls apart, how soon that will be i don't know. I would recommend this to anyone who is starting out with hammocks for the first time and doesn't want to pay a ton. This could last a very long time depending on how long the netting holds up. But if the netting does go bad, it is quite possible i think to sew new netting on myself instead of buying a new hammock. The actual hammock construction feels very durable.

Pros: the hammock is lightweight, setup of the hammock itself is fast, and it adapts to a variety of tree sizes. The simple paracord tree attachment system is simple and easily adjustable. It also stores very conveniently in its own drawstring pocket, making it convenient to take anywhere. It's essentially made of the same material as most tents, and while cool in summer heat and humidity, is a bit thin for colder weather sleeping without adding extra blankets or a sleeping bag.Cons: the provided netting suspension cord is difficult to quickly set at the proper height per the instructions, taking far more time to set up correctly than the actual hammock itself requires. Set the suspension line too low and the netting drapes on you. Set it too high, and the netting loops tear off, ripping holes in the netting. As a temporary solution, tie the netting suspension line without running it through the loops, and use low tension clothespins to retain the netting to the line. This will allow the netting to slip off without tearing, and can be arranged once you are already laying in the hammock.
