These are great for protecting your lips if you drink from the cup used for heating your coffee, soup, etc. I also like that they can be used in all my cups, instead of being permanently attached to one.

This obscure tiny product weighs next to nothing to add to your titanium cups but it literally takes the heat off your lips when enjoying a piping hot beverage. Rarely has something so small made such a profound positive difference when used as designed! Most of us have more than 1 titanium cup, so packaging two together makes perfect sense and saves a 2nd purchase!

These fitted easily on my tomshoo 300ml mug and stay on well. Easy to remove to rinse and do the job well as the mug does get very hot when filled with coffee 😊

No offense to the other posters, but this thing is what it says it is - a soft, comfortable lip to put on your single-walled camp cup. It goes on easily (once you spend a few seconds to figure it out the first time), and works fine. For those with titanium cups - don't know. I'm a stainless steel guy, and a guarantee that I can drink coffee several degrees hotter than my lips can tolerate. And here's a tidbit that nobody else has mentioned -- have you ever brought a hot cup to your mouth and the hot rim on your lip caused you to flinch . . . resulting in hot coffee or soup or tea or cocoa streaming down your shirt front? Well, this gizmo helps prevent that. And, face it, they are like $3 each - - and us gear junkies pay many more times that than this thing cost for a pair of tweezers. Just sayin'.....

I bought these hoping to not burn my lips on hot stainless steel camp coffee mug - they work great - good fit on mug lip, stays where you put it, somewhat affordable, and makes camping a little more enjoyableThe con is that after my purchase, I bought a titanium cup and, since titanium doesn't hold heat the way stainless does, the cup is not hot enough to need this item and I don't really use them anymoreIf you're thinking about a titanium cup purchase, you might wanna rethink buying this item

This is an honest review of this item, which I purchased full price on Amazon.com:I was getting tired of having to wait for my titanium pot to cool so I could drink hot beverages while backpacking in the cold.I read some great things about Hotlips so I thought I would give them a try. So far I am very impressed, they do exactly what they are designed to do. They barely weigh anything and fit easily inside my cook kit without taking up much room. My drinks stay nice and warm and I can drink them without searing myself. If you don't like searing your lips, give these a try.Added benefits are that they are easy to use and easy to clean! Metal cook set users, MUST add these to their kits!

I made my own ultralight drinking cup from an aluminum water bottle by cutting it off about half way up. It fits perfectly inside my cook pot along with all of the other items. I added a drink koozie to keep the heat away from hands (except when I WANT that heat) but my lips were always being burned when drinking coffee. There's something different about how lips can handle hot liquids versus the inside of my mouth.I was trying to come up with my own creative solutions but eventually ran into someone camping with one of these on one of their mugs. I got the details and ordered them when I got home.Since my cup is a straight edge, these do not stay on as well as they could but that is not the fault of the product since they were designed for a specific mug that has a flared lip on it. This still works but I have to be a little careful to not knock it off.Regardless, it is a great product and those of us who like our coffee from a metal drinking vessel, this is a great solution.
