Our Company History

In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at ''prices even a pauper could afford.''

Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy—and our customers’ expectations—of beauty, quality, and value.

I am not the best at embroidering but I have enjoyed doing these patterns for towels for my son's kitchen. They are not going to be your usual embroidered towel but lots more fun. The patterns transfer easily and can be used several times over. I love the patterns and have found them to be fairly easy to follow. A few of the letters are pretty small and I have found them more difficult but for the most part, not too hard.

Newbie to hand embroidery, and I can't say enough good things about these transfers ! I love the "snarky" and wish I could find more like this. I'm very indecisive and most of my energy is trying to come up with a good design then trying to transfer etc etc these were amazingly easy to use, took a couple of minutes and I was ready to start poking !

I bought this as a gift so can't comment on quality, but I was really happy with the selection of designs though!

Hilarious! Bought these for my 19 year old niece who showed a vague interest in embroidery but my 70 year old mom is the one who ended up using them. She loves them!

I used these for my very first embroidery project and it turned out really cute. They're very easy to use and can be used multiple times. It's imperative that you pin or tape the transfer in place before ironing on. Also, the transfer does not wash out, so make sure you're careful while placing and that your thread/stitch is thick enough to cover the lines. I learned all of this the hard way! I love this product and look forward to ordering more from this company.

These are not for the prudish at heart and you must have a good sense of humor to enjoy them. I embroidered some to give as gifts to my friends on April Fool's Day. They loved it! You can easily leave off the 'snarky sentiments' by either blocking with paper before ironing or trimming the words off with scissors before ironing transfer. The animal images are nice without the snark. Good for a giggle!

I bought this snarky pack and the celestial ones and I’m really happy with them. The transfer wasn’t completely perfect on my first (and only, so far) try but I got about 95% and was easily able to make up the rest. I think I just didn’t pre-heat the fabric enough and I didn’t heat in all areas evenly. This was my first embroidery piece ever so it was so nice having a simple pattern that I could do whatever methods I wanted with in the end. I added some rabbit poops to mine because of an inside joke and gave it as a gift to my husband.

Love these! I'm really dont like all those sentimental saying that are all over the place so when I found these which are more on the sarcastic side I knew I had to have them. My only negative would be that, (and its partly my fault for obviously not reading the description correctly) I thought they came in a book and there would be some suggestions on what type of stitches to use but it's just the transfers (as I'm new to embroidery so would have helped me to get started) ut never mind, I'm sure I'll have lots of fun doing them!

These are really cute and funny - I'm considering ordering again to give as a gift. But they are not without issue - it's not a consistent transfer. I've tried different techniques but I've been unable to get a consistent image. The images are fairly simple so I can fill in the blanks, but it would have been nice if the transfer quality was more consistent.

I have no dislikes of this product. The patterns are great for anyone who wants to embroider, any skill level can handle the patterns. They transfer great onto fabric and have nice bold lines to follow and leave plenty of ink to transfer again. I am more than pleased and will purchase different pattern sets from this brand.
