I say “warm” but know that it’s warm relative to the south. These are an excellent thickness to wear in the south in winter and be very cozy. Thin enough to wear with boots or other shoes.

Big fan of smartwool products. Ive always preferred their socks to darn tough. Unfortunately these ones had holes in them from daily use after a week in multiple pairs. Ill be going back to their hiking line or trying darn tough’s everyday socks. Pretty disappointing. Still love their stuff, just not as resilient as other products.
