I bought this for a Halloween costume and it was spot on!! I couldn't help to see how cute and adorable it was, right out of the package. It was packed tightly in a little box and it allowed the hat to not get squashed. The lace, the pearls, the floral design was exactly like the picture. There's a little clip underneath that you can attach to your updo and keep in place. It's a tiny clip and can be a bit stronger, but it gets the job done and it worked just fine for me. This hat was about the size of my whole hand. Not just the palm, but my whole hand. It's not too small and not too big. Looking for something that will help your tea party, your Cabaret, your Halloween party, etc., then this is something to consider. It's put together so well, isn't cheap, didn't feel cheap, and will last more than a one time use.

My daughter decided to go as Mrs Peacock from Clue for Halloween this year, but instead of the traditional costume, she's doing more of a 20s theme and needed a fun headpiece to finish the look. We bought some peacock feathers and other embellishments and added them on to the mini hat.It's a good thing we were planning on pulling things off and gluing other things on, because it didn't arrive in the greatest shape. The flowers were falling off and the pearls had come almost totally unglued. If we were using this as it arrived (without plans to add on) we would have had to do a lot of work to get it to the point where she could use it.It ended up being a great starter base for what we wanted to do, but others may not intend it for that use. The little fascinator is super cute even without being particularly well made. The box kept the shape safe, which is a big plus. The travel definitely knocked the beads loose from the hot glue, but I can easily fix that with some hand stitching. A little work was needed to clean off spiderweb strands of hot glue, and a lint roller took off the loose, small fibers. There were no glue clumps or strands in the feather/flower section. I'm still giving it a four star because the price matches the quality.
