My counter opening was 29-15/16" , fortunately I have a belt sander and could sand the length down by 3/32" also note, side face of cabinets not flush with counter opening, so brackets have not an option. Solution drill holes through and screw to back wall, taking care to make top flush.

As other reviews note, is too big by an eight of an inch or so for a standard stove opening. If I didn't have a hacksaw and grinder to make quick work of it, I'd probably be more annoyed, but now that it's in place it looks good and functions as expected.

I gave 4 instead of 5 only because you really cannot use the adhesive option, the bar is too heavy. We tried due to our granite coming past the countertop and not being able to screw into our cabinetry. We basically had to rig it by putting a screw under the bracket into the wall. It works and covers the gap so we are happy with it!! I highly recommend. Thank you!
