We understand that car safety is a must when out driving with your pet. Sleepypod Air includes straps on both sides to secure a car seat belt in place around Sleepypod Air. This positioning keeps the carrier in the seat in the event of an accident.

Cleaning Instructions
- Wipe exterior with damp cloth.
- Vacuum pet fur from Ultra plush bedding.
- Separate Ultra plush from foam padding.
- Machine wash Ultra plush
- Foam panel is wrapped in a water repellent cover that can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

I wanted to love this bag- the materials are high quality & it does fold away nicely for storage. However, My 12.5 lb dog likes to pop her head out & see what's going on. I opened the end of the bag to let her look around but the flap folded up, INTO the animal's space- this meant compressing her to the other end of the bag in order to swing the end in and attach itto the velcro stay inside, on the "roof". I could overcome that, but the flap did not stay up- the velco was not sufficient so it kept falling on her. Additionally, the end-only opening meant that she had to be perilously at the edge of a precipice when riding atop my luggage & some squished toes because when on the floor. I tried unzipping the side, but it either fell open, spilling the dog out, or fell in, on her. I could not adjust the shoulder strap to be comfortable because the buckle cannot slide through the pad- it hung down, past my reach which meant I could not steady it as I walked. The length was good, the width was good, the height was low for the animal on the way to-from the plane, but fit properly under the seat. With some tweaks to the design so the end flaps folded to secure outside the bag, if the shoulder strap were a functional length or the parts integrated better, and if place my pet could pop her head out to sit upright as in most travel bags and, this bag would be worth every penny. My dog and I found it to be uncomfortable.

Folds down nicely, bedding is easy to remove and wash, can be secured with a seat belt in a car easily- however, the airflow is not great and the way it zips apart does not allow for your dog to see anything once inside - there is not a hybrid state that is safe. The way it buckles into a car - your dog also will not be able to see much but the car door. our 8 lb dog also started panting

The kitties love this carrier. They climbed right in. We use it for vet visits as well as a cat bed in the home.

So far so good with this cat carrier, though haven't really put it through much heavy use yet. It seems like it has good features for travel (seatbelt compatibility, airline compatibility) while being both soft and sturdy enough to enjoy use for regular transport. Cat doesn't hate it, so good enough on that front.
