This will work with the big green egg xl (24inch diameter)if you modify (cut off) the opposite end of the rod that fits into the motor side and then round off that end on a grinder so that it will rotate freely. You need to only cut off an inch or two- just line it up on your egg and mark it with a permanent marker. Hint: tighten the thumb screws with a pair of pliers, my first cook they loosened up and the chicken was spinning in place for a while!!

Go by the pic/s on the Amazon website, not on the assembly instructions. The instructions were written by someone that does not speak or understand English very well. When you notice that the spit does not line up, just rotate the motor 180 degrees, like the Amazon pic. If it is a little too long, just grab a wooden or metal shim and shim it back. These modifications, unlike the others, took less than 10 seconds! See the pics.

This rotisserie works quite well. Other folks have mentioned that it won't fit in between size grills from the two different adapters that come with the kit. I have a 24" Slow N Sear and with some simple mods it works just fine. Set up the assembly as you would normally using the long adapter. Make two marks on the rod, one where you need to cut it and the other where you want the rod to rotate on the support bracket. Using a cutoff wheel with a grinder cut it to length. Then take that piece of the rod and mount it in a drill press. Turn it on and then using the sharp corner of a good quality metal file just carve a groove into the rod until it is round. Assemble everything back together and you are good to go! BBQ'd a chicken last night and it worked superb!

Purchased for use with a Vision Pro Kamado grill. The fit is adjustable and I was able to easily adapt it to my grill. The brackets where it clamps to the lower portion of the grill are flat, so it doesn't interrupt the seal between the upper and lower pots. The first roast we cooked using the rotisserie was spectacular! Looking forward to lots of tasty stuff! Two thumbs up!

I used this for my (Large size) Big Green Egg (BGE). It fits horizontally but not vertically (i.e., misaligned). This results in the rotor being aligned about 1" too high on the motor side which results in keeping the lid open (as well as the weight of the lid on the rotor) and a horizontal tilt on the rotor. It's impossible to control the BGE temperature with the lid even partially open. I closed the intake and the chimney exhaust completely and still lost temperature control (and this was after I modified the bracket - see pics). The bracket comes with "ears" which prevents the motor from sliding fully downward onto the bottom plate and into alignment. I removed these "ears" with my hack saw which dropped it another 3/4" but that was not enough to align the rotor correctly (horizontally) which kept the BGE cover about 1/2" open where the rotor penetrates the BGE (i.e., midway across the BGE), the full weight of the cover on the rotor, and also in a loss of temperature control of the unit. I will try an additional modification today to get that last few mm but I'm not sure how - it may involve modifying the back plate on the motor. I'll update if I'm successful. The motor was quiet and had no problem rotating my 6 pound roast but the weight of the BGE cover put a slight bend in the rotor rod which I straightened out.

It fits rather loose but I think that's better when you have to attach Spit. It works well and cleans easily

Pro: motor is extremely quiet. Concept is a great idea.Con: does not fit Weber Summit Kamado. While the WSK is the same size as the Kamado Joe XL, the angled sides of the kettle cause the brackets to slip and will not clamp down correctly. Also, some parts feel cheap.

Doesn't fit a 24” Louisiana grill. The idea is genius, but the implementation is totally dumb! It fits for 21.5”-23” and 28”-29.5” grills, but not something in between!!! Now I need to return or look for an adapter. I thought I can adapt it somehow, but I can’t find any easy way. And I can’t use bolts as threading are reversed. There’re no words how dumb is the implementation. By looking into assembly design it looks like it’s just assembled from random parts, and the company selling this doesn’t make any parts by themselves.
