It wouldn’t fit my old straight soprano. Mine doesn’t have detachable necks. Had to order a PRO PAC.

I'm using this case for a Vintage C soprano sax. It does not have a detachable neck but is enough shorter than a Bb sax that it fits nicely. The trick is to put extra padding where the neck goes. I still have the original case but this does a much better job of protecting the instrument than the original case or the gig bag I previously was using. I used this case to mail the instrument across country and it arrived with no damage.That said, first time i headed to an event I got around to clipping on the shoulder strap and it immediately broke. I think there is a design flaw. The points of weakness are 1/32 inch thick. It never got as far as my shoulder, I simply lifted the case by the strap. I don't know what it would cost to replace the metal clips but I think I'll live without the strap.

this product says it is for a straight saxophone. The interior is molded and is too short.
