I purchased this to repair an oops. Had I'd known how much it would improve the handling, coupled with a 10⅛"D × 15 P prop, i would have done the upgrades to begin with. Be careful when ordering to make sure you get the proper guard as they have multiple 50 HP mercury motors. I have a 2024 Tracker XL Classic with a 2023 50HP mercury and this fits perfectly! 5 minute install.

Only one problem to do lower unit oil you can't get drain plug off .. but small amount of grinding a u shape works great.

This is what we used for our boat. It is average in quality but has held up well.

Installation was easy. Literally 5 minutes. Don’t think it affect handling as my boat only does 18 knots at best, but should definitely protect my pontoon prop should I roll over a floating log or bump the bottom on my approach to party cove.

Good product, however it took me 6 months to get around to install it and come to find out one of the female threaded parts is no good and was not threaded. Now I don’t know what to do besides order another one.

i would have liked it to be slightly heavier gauge material but it fits so for now that’s all that counts

Received this skeg repair/protector , checked it out for fitment and it slipped over good . I decided to install it on my broken skeg , the only thing was , I had to drill an additional hole because one of the holes was too far back and wouldn't have anything to attach to. Lined everything up , measured and drilled then installed the hardware , ( screws ) , seems to be good and solid , see how it does when we take the pontoon out the next time . Hope it holds up well , it looks really nice .
