About this item

  • WARM & COMFORTABLE JACKET - Use it for everything from backcountry hunts and off-season scouting trips to everyday life; it slips comfortably under a shell whenever you need an extra shot of warmth
  • PRIMALOFT GOLD INSULATION - Synthetic PrimaLoft Gold Insulation with Cross Core technology replicates the aesthetics and performance of down insulation, but with warm-when-wet performance
  • LIGHTWEIGHT INSULATION - Lightweight insulation (35% recycled) is infused with silica aerogel, a nearly weightless material that’s composed of more than 95% air and acts as additional thermal insulation
  • DURABLE FABRIC - 20-denier polyester face with DRW-finish, 20-denier polyester backer; DWR finish resists precipitation and prevents face fabric from wetting out
  • FEATURES - Gusseted stretch cuffs allow for smooth, easy layering and unrestricted shooting; fitted hood provides low-profile warmth and concealment; doesn’t obstruct peripheral vision; deep, zippered chest pocket safely stores your valuables

KELVIN AEROLITE JACKET In a sea of outdoor specialization, having versatile gear as well is a strength. This lightweight, compressible jacket maximizes warmth while minimizing bulk. Use it for everything from backcountry hunts and off-season scouting trips to everyday life; it slips comfortably under a shell whenever you need an extra shot of warmth. Synthetic PrimaLoft Gold Insulation with Cross Core technology replicates the aesthetics and performance of down insulation, but with warm-when-wet performance. FEATURES: - Kelvin AeroLite Jacket weight: 16 oz. - Synthetic PrimaLoft Gold Insulation with Cross Core technology - Lightweight insulation (35% recycled) is infused with silica aerogel - 20-denier polyester face, 20-denier polyester backer - Gusseted stretch cuffs - Fitted hood provides low-profile warmth and concealment - Deep, zippered chest pocket safely stores your valuables WHY WE MADE THIS The best thing about synthetic insulation is that it stays warm even in extreme, wet conditions. Until now, that reliability has come at the cost of bulkier and heavier products. The Kelvin Aerolite Jacket harnesses the insulating properties of trapped air to create synthetic insulation that replicates the low-bulk, highly compressible characteristics of down, but with warm-when-wet performance. We designed this go-to, versatile layer to keep you warm when you need it, yet disappear in your pack when you don’t.

This aerolite jacket is on a short list of my favorite gear for backpack hunting. I also have the vest for chilly mornings in warmer weather. It works better as a midlayer than down (compressed) in my experience. Down is still superior outer layer in dry conditions. It’s a great layering piece. Primaloft Gold is pretty magical in my experience. When I first got it I thought it was way too thin. I have yet to be cold while wearing it though. The only con is the fabric is kinda noisy. That isn’t a problem for my style of hunting. I wouldn’t use it as an outer layer bowhunting deer from a tree stand though.

Nice jacket to wear alone or with a shell over it for extra warmth. Definitely comfortable and cozy jacket with easy access to pockets. Nice hood and waste drawstrings to hold in warmth. Best of all it has a chest zipper pocket to put cellphone for easy access.

After paying 4-5 times what I normally would for a similar jacket, I'm left wondering why anyone would pay this much for a terrible jacket.First, for the price, it's really not terribly warm. Light...yes....warm...not so much. That's the first issue. There are others as well. But let's get to the biggest issue...the zipper! It's an incredibly important feature and it seems they gave it the cheapest, crappiest zipper they could find. The "wind flap" or whatever you call it, that is supposed to protect you from wind pushing the zipper is CONSTANTLY getting caught in the zipper. But that's only one problem. The zipper itself, is very weak and will start to separate at some time...guaranteed!My zipper broke one winter so I sent it in for repair. I mean, supposedly you pay all this extra money for a high quality product, that the company stands behind. But the service is mediocre at best...and more accurately, sucks. You'll send you coat in for repair and be left cold for most of the winter....because IF they repair it, they'll have it for a LONG time. The zipper has now malfunctioned twice (both times, I could barely get it off my body, because it would not zip). After repairing it once...it's doing it again and I sent it in for repair a second time. The first time I sent my jacket in for repair, they had it most of the winter, roughly 8 weeks (or 2 months). That's a good portion of the winter that I was left without a coat. A coat, I might add, I spent a good deal of money on!The second time.....same thing. Only this time, I think my jacket is lost and customer communication is nonexistent. I've not seen my jacket for months and I'm left why in the heck I spent so much money on a coat that is so cheaply made.I will never buy another Sitka product nor would I ever recommend anyone buying one. They are terribly overpriced. I was told they were high priced because they are such high quality, with good warranty coverage. Neither is true.I would encourage you to look elsewhere. Your instincts and concern about paying so much for a jacket that is a fraction of the cost anywhere else is spot on. It simply isn't worth it. Period.

Real light weight but surprisingly very warm. I was wanting a light weight jacket for duck hunting. This jacket is exactly what I wanted. As soon as I put it on I felt myself warming up. It was 40-45 degrees outside with a breeze today. I think I’d have started to sweat if I would have been active while wearing it. I’m a shorter guy with a fair amount of natural insulation lol ( 5’9 292lbs 54”chest 36 waist and a long torso ). I purchased the 3xl and it fit great. Definitely recommend it if you’re a bigger guy that tends to get hot easily. I think it’s going to be just right for warmth even into the low teens.

I’m 5’10, 210lbs athletic build with a little dad weight. Bought the Large and immediately exchanged for the XL. Large is just a little too tight around the chest and arms. XL fits perfect with just enough extra room for a hoodie or nice fleece. Wore it out in below 30 degree weather and it’s plenty warm. Probably wouldn’t want to stand around in it for more than a couple of hours in below freezing weather but it’s def comfortable and it’s slim enough to easily throw under a winter coat for the really cold temps. Would highly recommend to add to your cold weather arsenal.

Worn with a base layer and a flannel shirt and gloves and this super light jacket was so good I didn’t use my windbreak over coat on top of this since it wasn’t needed. Probably not the best for work related activities since it seems like it could rip if around machines.

This coat is awesome! It's my new favorite. I have been wearing it to ride my horses out side when it's 20 degrees and it keeps me plenty warm. I have just a t shirt on underneath or some times a thin polypropeline shirt on. The coat is so light, I can move and it doens't get in the way like bulkier coats do. Huge pockets. It's some what water proof. It gets wet but never soaks through. Arm lengths are long so it doesn't pull up when raising my arms. I would have more of other colors if they weren't so expensive. I bought this one at a great price from this seller but they are usually $309.

I have been looking for a light weight winter jacket that would keep me warm during inclement weather. Read other reviews and felt it was worth a try. Received the jacket two weeks ago. Fit was true to sizing and very comfortable. Has drawn string waist, and hood. Sleeves at tapered. Just a great fit and feel. Then the true test came at the 05 NOV 2022 Wisconsin Badger football game. 53 at game time and 48 at the end. Rained hard, drizzled a bit and the wind was steady. I stayed warm and only a could wet areas. Worth the money, buy the jacket!
