Great sturdy boat ram savers. These fit my DF225 perfectly and take the pressure off the main ram during transport. I use them after every trip and have held up great to the saltwater and sun.

What can I say… makes total sense and an inexpensive way to protect transom and steering linkages

Picked this up for emergency use just in case the transom saver ever gave me problems. Had to use this after some rust gave me issues and they really saved the day. The ram is made of a hard rubbery material and is really easy to use - just push it in as pictured. Build quality is straightforward, exactly as pictured. Fits well and functions great - you may need to shorten your steering block pieces as needed for proper functionality. Considering how useful and easy to use this is, they're well worth it to keep in the boat trailer equipment.

I reside a few miles from my local boat launch. Although I possess a more complex metal transom saver, this model was attractive because it offers a quicker and less complex option to support my motor. The kit includes a red rubber block for the tilt actuator and two blue rubber blocks designed for the hydraulic steering actuator to keep the motor centered. However, as I utilize cable steering, the latter items are not required. The red rubber block fits securely on the tilt and trim actuator and won't fall off easily. The rubber material on the trim saver is compressible, so lower the motor carefully to prevent excessive compression.I used it on my Suzuki DF90A, leaving the motor at a 40-degree angle relative to the transom. It seems effective for its intended purpose. I plan to use it for local trips due to its convenience and space-saving design. What I like:• Compact design• Puts the motor at a good angle for travel• Easy to install and remove• Bright red so you don’t forget to remove it.What I don't like:• More compressible than expected (not necessarily bad, just notable)• Motor can turn during travel with a cable steering system

This product is so much easier and much more convenient than the transom brace that I have. This is one of those products where the lightbulb goes off over your head and you say, why didn't I think of that. For years I have been using the aluminum bar between the trailer and the motor when trailering the boat. There always is a question of placement, and if a big bounce occurred with the aluminum bar fall off onto the roadway. With this system, there is no worry. It's simply goes over the hydraulic cylinder rod and will not come out of place. It's super simple to use with virtually no effort. Because of its size, when removing, it can be kept in the well near the motor mount, so I always know where it is. Again, it's too simple and works really well.

As you know this is a three piece set. I used the larger block on my Mercury 115 HP and one of the smaller blocks on my 9.9 hp Pro Kicker. Both motors have power trim. The blocks are easy to use, snap onto the trim shafts, and the fit is secure. After installing, I trimmed down and expected to hear the trim motor stain a bit once seated but that did not happen. The block deformed and the motor kept coming down. I know the power trim is more powerful than gravity but I am concerned that this block will not support my 115 HP motor if the trim actuator fails when trailering. I think the small block will function as intended on smaller motors.

I saw these were advertised for 4 Stroke engines but I was tired of fighting the old style transom savers that connect the motor to the lead roller on the boat trailer. I took a chance and got this for my 115hp Johnson 2 Stroke. It fit just fine. I believe the two blue pieces were to lock the steering cylinders stabilizers but I have manual steering and they do not work for that. Anyway the red piece works great.
