Even though the blue doesn't glow quite as much as the other colors as others said, it still glows pretty good. Ends fray easily. Since I do hand embroidery, that did allow me to find a dark blue stain on the pink (which would have had to have happened at the factory) and snip out that bit. I'd have been disappointed if I had been using a machine at the time and that happened, so only 4 stars because quality control could be a little better.

These large spools of glow in the dark thread worked very well with my Baby lock embroidery machine. I used a size 14 needle with no thread breaks. It was so much fun to see the embroidery glow! I can't wait to try these threads with Halloween designs. The only issue I had is that the green and yellow colors are so close in shade that you really can't tell the difference between the two when sewn out. I would LOVE more glow in the dark colors! Awesome product!

These are amazing with how they glow in the dark and they do machine embroidery smooth. The only issue I have and continue to have no matter what I have tried, is the thread do bind up toward the needle and break. The blue one seems to be the worst. The bigger the design such as the jack-o-lantern face, the more it breaks. I am sure it has to do with the glow-in-the-dark properties. If you have hand sewing, these a great. If you are machine embroidery, they are good, lay flat and smooth but will break on occasion depending on design, which I deal with when making items. Lettering with them is perfect.

I love these fab glow in the dark Simthreads, they really do glow in the dark. Genuine photos, no touch up or enhancenent; first pic was taken in a fully darkened room, second in partial light. Face embroidered in green and li'l monster in white. Very pleased with the results, after good exposure to light these glowed for ages into the night. Next project FSL embroidered fairy lights for Christmas.

I have been buying simthread for my new embroider machine, i love the colours, sheen and quality.I thought I would try out the glow in the dark, 5 colours. Also in the box i got free thread nets, bobbins and stabiliser, nice touch.I stitched out the skull onto felt ready for Halloween, no problems, no breaks, no shredding perfect finish.It’s glow in the dark so waited till dark, i think it would have been more glowing if i had used a design with more stitches but yes it did glow in my garage.Going to try metallic ones nextUpdate I’ve stitched a FSL butterfly stitched beautifully well. A small glow in the dark effect but I couldn’t take a photo in dark sorry

I purchased these to make Halloween key fobs for my granddaughter, the colors are beautiful and the glow in the dark works well. I'll be using these for more than just Halloween. I love Simthread, I've been using their embroidery threads since buying my first embroidery machine 2 1/2 years ago. I use their threads with my Brother Innovis machine and my Husqvarna Viking Designer Ruby Royale with no issues, their threads stitch out beautifully.

I couldn't wait to try this out, and stitched up an appliqué as soon as it arrived. I was a bit concerned about the quality, since this is pretty inexpensive for glow in the dark thread, but it stitched up flawlessly. Not a single thread break. With new thread I tend to start slow and work my way up, but this stuff didn't require special handling. Performed perfectly at top speed with typical settings.
