2nd chair I bought(first was the red and black one locally), 1st chairs piston gave out after 2 months of light use. This one gave out around the same time. Being only 265lbs, I am guessing the limit for these is less than 250lbs. But I did fix the issue with the first one with metal spacers to lock the height in place, and this one with a a new proper piston. Never getting Ashley Furniture stuff again, everything I have bought from them just ends up trash due to poor construction(3 couches, 1 sectional, 2 tables, and 2 "gaming" chairs)

The chair looks pretty nice once assembled, but there were many obvious workmanship defects from the manufacturing. There were several places where they had obviously nailed/tacked something into place for one of the parts, but never capped the sharp end and and thus remained a stabbing hazard after assembly. I could try and live with this by just avoiding those spots. However, I can't even try to use the chair anymore anymore, since the poor quality plastic of the side snapped in half and is now completely unusable. Leaning back in a chair that is advertised to help you lean into it while it supports your back probably shouldn't snap in half and throw you on the floor. I attempted to contact the seller about this, since it seems a clear manufacturing problem covered under a defects warranty. They essentially told me to bother Amazon about it since I bought it on the Amazon website instead of their website and that they could do nothing for me. WHY EVEN SELL ON AMAZON IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO SUPPORT THOSE PURCHASES?!?! Thankfuly Amazon eventually agreed to refund the purchase. I will never purchase another product from Ashley furniture and I'd recommend that nobody else support them either. Terrible product. Terrible service.

I absolutely love this chair. This is the only chair I've sat in for a whole work day that did not hurt my back. After having back surgery I thought desk chairs would always be uncomfortable for long periods of time, but this is my favorite place to sit in my whole house.
