I ordered one of these and it is very different and would not fit my pump. I called surflo (pentair) support and they said Pentair changed the valve slightly but did not change the part number. if you order one of these, you MAY get the right one or may not. One is offset so it wont work on some pumps.

As a previous reviewer stated. You may have the wrong valve and this won’t fit. I too called Pentair and they said the same. Two different items with the same part number. How ridiculous is this…he agreed and had no explanation other than”oh we need to create two part numbers”. He also told me to purchase the entire top valve and I wouldn’t have to worry. Duh….thanks for the help. Not fair to this vendor, he must get a lot of returns. Hope this helps others. Thank you.

The freshwater tank in our RV was filling when we were on "shore" water even though the control valve was NOT in the FILL position. The old valve was allowing water to flow backwards into the fresh tank.Replacing was simple and easy - and, no more backfilling or overflow from the fresh water tank.

I am a bit disappointed in Shurflo pumps. I have had two fail in five years (each just after the warranty expired). Latest problem was city water leaking back into the fresh water tank. This item fixed the problem, saving me from having to replace the entire pump. Very easy to install.
