I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase of the Shure SM58 Pro XLR Dynamic Microphone Stage Performance Kit! The microphone itself is fantastic—clear, crisp sound with excellent noise rejection, making it perfect for live performances. It captures my vocals with impressive clarity, and the cardioid pattern does a great job of minimizing unwanted background noise. The kit includes everything you need to get started: a 15-foot XLR cable, a sturdy stand, an A25D clip, and a convenient carrying bag for easy storage and transport. The build quality of all the components is top-tier, and I’ve been using it both on stage and in the studio without any issues.Shure’s reputation definitely holds up with this model, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, professional-grade microphone. Whether you're a performer or a content creator, this microphone will elevate your sound!

I recently did bought the Shure SM58 Pro XLR Dynamic Microphone, and while it’s a fantastic mic with excellent sound quality, especially for vocals, I found myself drawn to the new SHURE MV7+ USB-C model. The SM58 has a classic, robust design and delivers clear, professional audio, but the MV7+ offers the convenience of USB-C, making it incredibly sleek and easy to use with both USB and XLR options. The MV7+ is perfect for those who want high-quality sound but with the added flexibility of modern connectivity, especially for podcasting or streaming. While the SM58 is still a great choice for stage performances or professional setups, the USB-C feature of the MV7+ makes it a more convenient and versatile option for those working from home or on the go. Both are great, but the MV7+ just edges out for practicality

It may seem odd to say, but there are fake Shure microphones out there, and I've owned one, but this is a genuine Shure SM58. I'm really happy with it. Does exactly what you'd expect.

Even with a cheap mixer, this mic sounded great for my vocals, and picked up my drums well. Basically plug-n-play. Doesn’t come with a cord, as explained. Perfectly sensitive, reacts well to my voice. The mic clip was a bit tight, takes a bit of force to set it. Works amazing!

SM stands for Studio Microphone, so while most think of this as a live performance mic, which don't get me wrong it excels at, many people think it's a poor choice for studio work. It was built with studio work in mind, and just happens to be durable enough to withstand the torture of touring and being brought out for every event. It's a cardioid dynamic mic so if you aren't in a supremely sound proofed environment, say a bedroom you've done no sound dampening or minimum sound dampening work to, this is fantastic. It will cut out the immediate echos that can muddy recordings that otherwise would be picked up by a condenser mic. It's also great for talk shows for the same reason. Most things on the butt end of the mic will be seriously cut out. Maybe not 100% but enough that you can hide it in a mix or cut with a sound gate without hurting the thing you're actually recording.I recommend this with the focusrite audio interface, but anything that takes XLR cable and let's it talk to a PC is fine. I recommend every home musician have one of these. Or podcaster, as the only difference between this and is larger big brother you see on every show is basically a well endowed wind screen. Everything else is identical internally. I worked in a recording studio for a college for a few years and while condensers have their place and can get extremely crisp amazing quality, that can be a WORSE choice if it's used in the wrong environment. You don't need to hear your roommates phone call in the next room while you record vocals, or the backing track/metronome you're singing along with. This mic will let you record at home and give you more than enough quality for professional sounding mixes.

Amazing microphone for such a price. Got it on a lightning deal for 6.7k which is a steal. I really appreciate Amazon for selling it at such a price. I had been waiting on the edge to buy it, but didn't really see any advantage to getting a dynamic mic as I already owned AT2020 and MXL990 and 991. But these are condenser microphones and they really need a lot of acoustic treatment for the room. This mic SM58 on the other hand absolutely sounds phenomenal and we don't need to worry about the room acoustics because it rejects everything else and only picks up the sound from in front of the mic.Pros:1. Obviously it's legendary build quality. I didn't think it would be 300gm! It's like a tank. You can hammer nails with this.2. Beautifully tuned for vocals and other woodwind instruments (I play the flute and it records it brilliantly) Almost all artists use this live and it gives the flute a nice natural sound. A condenser microphone actually needs you to be more precise in your breathing and even picks up the small noises while playing. But this microphone rejects all that and only picks up the direct sound. I'm amazed at how well this mic has been designed in a cardioid pickup pattern. I usually have trouble extending the bass flute sounds, but with this mic, it actually accentuates the bass flute sound!3. It has warm and rich bass sound.4. Almost all classical live performances and a lot of the bollywood songs are recorded on this mic. The sound signature of this mic is familiar to everyone and hence it sounds so good.Cons:1. It needs a lot of gain to get a usable signal. And if you don't have a powerful and good quality amp, it'll introduce noise (although you could reduce it in post production). On a scarlett 2i2, this thing needs 75% gain and it is sufficiently loud without any self noise. On a Zoom H5 recorder, it gets by at level 5.5 to 6 gain. So zoom recorder's amps are a little more powerful I believe. I believe this high gain requirement was because it was designed in the late 60s where the equipment was all analog and needed a lot of voltage for the sound mixing boards to work with. What you get in the box1. Mic (duh!)2. Mic stand adapter (I thought there was a 3/8th inch adapter but I didn't see it in my box. May be Indian version doesn't have it)3. Faux leather zippered pouch4. Cable tie5. StickersThe microphone has a "Shure - Distributed in India" hologram plastered on it's body. I had made the mistake of peeling it (as I thought it ruined the look of the microphone!) and as soon as I peeled it, the sticker left out a residue in letters saying "void void void". So I think I just voided my warranty! So DO NOT remove the hologram sticker. I believe I got the original and not fake microphone. It had all the signs of an original Shure mic.Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the product. I don't think I'll ever be needing my Condenser microphones with such an amazing and well built dynamic mic is available.Note: People who want to run it off their PC or Mac.Don't! .... Get an audio interface as this mic needs good pre-amplification.
