I like to get these because THEY ARE WASHABLE. That means you are not one and done on a filter. They don't rip ortear and tho' more expensive, after a few washings you are saving money. They fit my Shop-Vac although if youdrop yours regularly you might want to tighten up your install a bit. I cannot say that they effect the vacuum sucyionone way or the other.

I have one of the older all metal (drum) Shop-Vacs. The filter was a perfect fit. I love that I can still get these filters from Shop-Vac after all these years.

Bought several of these TOUGH, rinseable, reusable, universal-fit filters. Even my wife can change them out and clean them! She made me include this comment. :) We use several different shop-vacs for different jobs.

This shop vac filter reminds me of a K and N filter for a car. It does a great job. It really helps the vacuum suck!

Having used many junk filters at half the price, this one is the real deal. Tons of suction power and cleans easily without breaking/bending while banging out the dust. This is one of those items where it's worth buying genuine.
