We got these to use for Taekwondo sparring. We were pleasantly surprised with the coverage and padding on the glove. They’d work well for our light-medium contact sparring. The gloves seem very stiff and like they are pulling your hand open right now. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they just need to be broken in more. I’m going with 3 stars because of the comfort and fit factor. We have had 3 different people try them. They are hard to get on being so stiff, but it feels like the spacing on the straps to hold your fingers is a bit off. It feels like your pinky is being pulled off to the side, which isn’t comfortable. That may just be a fluke in our pair.

I was really excited about these sparring gloves when I ordered and upon opening. They look nice and came with a ventilated zipper case for storing. I am female with average size hands and long fingers. The medium fits me EXCEPT for the pinky finger. The finger loops are all in a straight line, rather than being ergonomically placed at different heights or even at an angle. It’s straining my pinky too much, so I can’t use these. Took some pictures so you can see the fit and also one of my fist, so you can see how far the pinky loop is above the my knuckles. Your hand shape may fit differently, depending on the slope of your fingers.

There are some things I like about the design, the weight and weight distribution feel good, and the padding seems like a nice compromise between hand protection and giving mobility to the fingers for grappling. In general, this overall style of glove is a good compromise between padding out striking and protecting the hands, while still permitting more technical grappling exchanges for MMA. The Velcro seems decent quality, but I'll have to see how it holds up with use. With this type of glove, you definitely wouldn't want to do hard striking sparring, but light/technical flow sparring would be great, especially if you're incorporating takedowns and groundwork. This may just be a personal issue with my individual hand shape, but it seems to me that the structure of the glove does not "contour" to the knuckles very much. Because of this, it rests almost like a flat surface between the knuckles and the inside of the glove. It makes my big knuckles dig a little too deep into it, but my small knuckles are a bit too far and the glove "stretches" on that side when I make a fist for striking. This is a pretty big drawback for me. Although they are decent, it is hard for me to justify it for the price point at $40.

They had potential but the issues with sizing distribution make them a bit painful to use. Really rough on the pinky. Maybe with some heavy breaking in or altering procedure just cutting loose that strap they could be better but to consider having to rig a new product is a bit much.
