I converted some pure road shoes with no lugs to SPD. Walking was difficult. These 'stabilizers' make them nearly as good as a mountain bike or touring shoe for walking. I didn't have high hopes, but they are great.

I was happy with this product at first: it was easy to install on my bike shoes and I was able to clip in to my Peloton for the first few rides. However, on my third or fourth use, one of the side pieces snapped off. Since I use these for indoor cycling, I have only ever walked 50 or so steps in them (all in indoor smooth surfaces) and only clipped them in and out of a bike six or so times, so there's no reason the product should have broken this easily.

I've always been a mtb pedal fan. Normally I pick up cycling shoes with a deep well for the cleat so I can walk around after a ride. I finally decided to pull the trigger on a stiffer "road shoe" but found the mtb pedal so narrow that walking was really problematic. Happily finding these I ordered and mounted them. The attachment experience was fine. I was having some squeaking going on, but once I backed off the tightness to the 5-6 nm on the torque spec, that went away. The downside on this is the rubber pad that lives on the bottom of the adapter. This is from the shoe I always unclip with at a stop. You can see the pad on the outer edge is just gone. It dangled for a while and I tried super glueing it to no avail. This is after I would guess 1000 miles of riding. I tend to supinate a bit when i walk, so no surprise the outer edge took the brunt, but I'm not regularly walking more than a couple feet here around a car or something. They are still supportive enough to use and I absolutely couldn't use the cleats on this type of shoe without them so I'd get them again, just a heads up to be gentle if you can.

I've been using these on my Sidi Dominators for years. They're simple to install, they stay put and they just work, providing a firm, flat and very walkable guard for the cleats. Shipping worked very well, arriving a little earlier than expected.

I use this thing with regular SPD cleats on Shimano RP-1 road shoes, on my road bike. When I switched to the shoes from more casual-styled SPD shoes with embedded cleats, I was just using the cleats without this adapter. It worked - I could clip in and out as normal - but I missed many times and also the shoes wobbled left and right a lot. It was also practically impossible to walk in them. These were easy to install (you need a Phillips head screwdriver and a regular hexagonal bike tool). It took maybe five minutes.Once on the shoe, it's a fair bit easier to clip in (I still miss occasionally but it's much better) and more importantly, the shoes are much tighter laterally on the pedal - that is, I don't feel my feet swivelling left and right. I checked pretty carefully and I don't think this was an issue with my pedals, it was that the cleat swivelled inside the pedal because there was nothing like this adapter to prevent that.So far I've done maybe 100km of nice fast riding with these and I'm happy with them. I'd say they are essential for using road shoes and SPD clips. My package came new and early in the delivery window - happy with the vendor (thanks).

I have a pair of Shimano RP3 SPD-SL Road Shoes which I use for spin class. Great shoes, but the front of the shoe is smooth, so with the SPD cleats, they're very hard to walk in, and sometimes a little wobbly on the bike. These adapters made them much more stable to walk in (although I still wouldn't walk far in them!), and even reduced the wobble on the bike.

Work like a charm!! no problem waking, clipping in Shimano PD-A600s. so far holding up great. Shoes look “stock” (ie like they came that way)

After my first use with the adapters on my shoes, the cleat on one side sounded like it was striking the ground harder than the other when I was walking back the the vehicle. When I took my shoe off and inspected the adapter, one of the pontoons on the adapter had disintegrated where the other one looked almost new. The adapter on my other shoe was fine.

Nécessaire pour utiliser des cales SPD avec des chaussures de route non prévues pour ça.Produit trop fragile : après 2 utilisations et peu de marche, un patin est déjà parti et le plastique est déjà très usé.
