I have these on my hardtail MTB and the rear is working great but the front will adjust on some bumps and then adjust back creating a slight rub on the rotor. I have installed and reinstalled numerous times and still strange! Outside of that the SLX 4 piston is great and stops me each time.

Last SLX caliper was leaking at the pistons. Grabbed this one and it’s working just fine.

ブレーキは命に関わる部品です。もし、正しくインストールされた油圧式ブレーキを使ったことなくて、自力で初めてインストールしようとしているならおやめになった方が賢明です。デザインが、とやかく言われるシマノこの4ピストンブレーキに関しては、無骨で格好いいと思いました。ブリーディングは、説明書を正しく読み手順通り行えばいけるはずです。イマイチな場合は、オイルを抜いて最初から行った方が近道じゃないでしょうか？ちなみにフルサスMTBにインストールしました。予算を超えてしまうけど、ブレーキだけは渋るべきではないと判断しました。取り付けた当キャリパーが自然故障してしまったので、シマノへ送り交換していただけるとの判断をいただけました。ただ、物が不足しているらしく在庫がないのでしばらくかかるとのことだったので2ピストンモデルのものを一時凌ぎとして購入して取り付けました。前後ともに4ピストンだった時は気付きませんでしたが、制動力の差は歴然ですね。4ピストンの方がレバーを引いた瞬間のかっちり感が強いです。柔らかいブレーキングが好みの方は、2ピストンの方がいいと思います。

制動力はバッチリで、私は9100のXTRブレーキレバーと組み合わせています。舗装路だと過剰過ぎる制動力ですが、雨やグラベル、ダートに突っ込む際は8000系XTの2ポッドのキャリパーよりもしっかりと制動力を伝えてくれます。またフルブレーキングする際に若干泣きますが、嫌ならレジンパッドにでもすればいいかと思います。また前モデルだとブリーディングの際一度本体内を巡り反対側から抜けていたのでエア抜き等が面倒でしたが、新型になってからは後部に移動しているので変な抵抗感が無くなりやり易くなったのもいい点だと思います。難点を挙げるとすれば若干見た目が安っぽくなるかな？位です。ですが製品としては上位モデルと遜色ないので、派手に転んだりするマウンテンバイクなのでキャリパーはSLXでも良いかな？と思っています。
