Super impressed with the performance of these brakes on my old steel frame bike and they have been a huge upgrade for not a lot of money. I did have to make some modifications to my frame where they mounted by drilling the hole a little bigger but after that no issues and great stopping power.

Was fixing up my bike and my caliper broke. Ordered this and it was a smooth install. The brake works great and is super responsive. Definitely will look to replace my back one at some point with the same model! Good price too compared to other shops around me.

It takes a little more tuning than a streamlined, modern caliper, but these work-a-day brakes exhibit good stopping power as well as unique aesthetics.

Shimano says use of this brake with older, e.g. STI-6500, shifters leads to reduced braking due to changes in design. I have this installed with STI-6500, Mavic CXP rims, and BR-6800 brake pads and have no troubles. Braking is quite suitable even with hands on the hoods this combo is much better than "V" brakes.

Adjusted properly, these brakes rock. No problems at all so far. Wish they were anodized rather than painted but they get the job done so , oh well.
