If you service your Hollowtech II bottom bracket regularly, you should definitely keep a couple spare SHIMANO FC-M760 Hollowtech II bottom bracket spacers. These spacers can take a beating, but after a while, they wear & sometimes they can crack & break. Nothing would be worse than missing out on a ride because of a small, inexpensive & easily replaced part. Sure you could ride w/a broken or a missing spacer, but you run the risk of needlessly damaging other parts of your drivetrain. These are exactly like the ones that come w/the Hollowtech II bb & cranksets. Pickup a couple & keep on hand, because you never know...Thanks for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful.

I needed the part ... I was able to install a new bottom bracket after I bought the Shimano crank arm tool.

I had new 73mm BB that I wanted to install on the 68mm BB shell. Two of these filled in the space so an expensive crank was saved for less than $10.

This 2.5mm spacer works, but cracked prior to the bottom bracket being fully torqued. I usually install my BB at 500 inch pounds (well within the 435-609 inch-pound recommended range) - this audibly and visibly cracked probably around 470-490lbs of torque.I had thought this part would be metal and not plastic, I guess that's what I get for assumptions - perhaps seller could update the description to reflect that fact...I'll at least give it 2 stars as it is working for now, but I'm afraid next time I pull my BB off, it will fall off in two chunks where the crack is located.
