Purchased this impeller for a Sherwood raw water pump installed on a 1989 PCM Ford 351 engine. Works perfectly and solved a persistent overheating issue. The previous impeller was 13 years old. It looked fine, but had gotten stiff and was not pumping enough water to keep the engine cool. It is recommended that these impellers be replaced at least every two years. I'm going to follow that advice from now on...

Just buy the oem piece. I tried the aftermarket impeller and it didn't suck water.

These Sherwood brand impellers are much better than the knock-off brands, and worth the additional price. If you have a Sherwood water pump, but Sherwood impellers, you won't regret it.
