After spending the whole day on one hole and 6 different bits I could find at the 2 bid hardware stores, I ordered these. They came the next day and promptly finished the first 8 holes to hang the shower door. I didn't realize how hard porcelain tile was and wish I had ordered these ahead of time. It still takes about 5 minutes per hole but works very well if you stop and dip the bit in water every 5 seconds or so. This cools the bit, helping the bit have a longer life and lubricants the cutting action.I wore the first bit down too much after 6 or so holes. The next 2 bits I only did about 4 and switched to a new bit so the holes didn't take so long. You could get more out of each bit but 4 holes was about the max before productivity went down. On softer tile other than porcelain, you should be able to het quite a bit more.Definitely would buy these again.

I ordered a 5/16 Diamond Drill bit and waited and wasted my time. The Diamond Drill bit was missing. Only got the screwdriver bit. Very disappointed.

I needed a drill bit to cut through a tile backsplash to install a toiler paper holder. My normal drill bits didn't do anything, but these worked with my 18V drill.

Bought these for drilling through 20mm patio porcelain tiles which normal masonry bits wouldn’t scratch. Was a bit dubious as a previous diamond bit quickly lost its diamond coating but one of these bits drilled 8 holes and apart from the scratched shaft looked like new. Firm pressure needed on the drill and used water to lubricate but only took minutes to drill the hole.
